I'm not sure if this has been posted here yet but it comes from reddit, i have linked his post as he is the one who posted the info.
There's some interesting new details in there:
'The beta did not contain the final implementation of how Energy weapons work against AI combatants with elemental shields; when the shield is depleted, it explodes, nuking any enemies that happen to be nearby'
Nightfall strikes now have a time limit (varying by Strike; one example was 13 minutes) so efficiency and settling on a strategy beforehand will be important
There are over 80 missions and (PVE) activities, and each is substantial in length, challenge, story and reward
There's so much new content that at one point in development they realised they had more content than progression (something they've subsequently fixed)
There were apparently a few other things revealed to the Edge team visiting Bungie but that they were asked not to reveal; one involves the Hunter class and left the reviewers happy that the class will shape up well. Supers and grenades were also mentioned, and whilst they recharge faster than the beta, it seems we'll be encouraged to recharge them more quickly through aggressive play: an example given was a Warlock exotic chest that lets you hover in the air (sounding a little like Empyrrean Bellicose) where kills whilst hovering will quickly recharge your grenade.

Here is a link where deej replies about Luke being the keynote speaker at pax, its a good read for the people who think Bungie are not revealing much PVE because it's bad or there is not alot to do.

A few more points from killboy below
The exotic warlock chest mentioned is aquired during the campaign whilst the "characters level is still in single figures"
"Grenades now hit like magical, elementally powered trucks." "Chuck one at a boss and the effect is dramatic"
"It gives us great pleasure to report that Destiny 2s story is not only entertaining but also makes actual sense from beginning to end"
"Adventures are lengthy fully voiced side missions, thick with story, that span multiple sections"
"There are meaty world quests that further flesh out the story"
Here is a link to a yotube video, he covers most the stuff we already know but there are a few little extra bits in there.

Another with a few extra bits in there, Byf goes a little schoolgirl in this so you have been warned.

With the way they describe grenades, bosses are going to be extra easy if the titans grenades are anything to go by. In the beta you could use pulse grenades and get his health down pretty quickly just from that. Which you can just do again thanks to shoulder charge refueling them.

7 RisposteThe outlook for d2 looks worse and worse each day we get closer to release.
-
22 RisposteIt must be getting harder and harder to find things to complain about with this game. But I'm sure they'll find something... anything.
-
Pve for the win!
-
Oh the hype is real now! I cannot wait for this, they have really listened to the fans and changed what needed to be changed! Good job Bungie!

29 RisposteI give D2 1 month before its death... It is literally just a nerfed, re-packaged D1. Abilities were not fun to use Guns were borderline ineffective (PvE took a whole clip per enemy at max level) All the best perks have been moved to the titan (sucks for us warlocks and hunters) Design/lighting seemed mediocre (probably cuz of the downgraded 4K) 4v4 only in PvP to start Dialogue seemed pretty decent, but incredibly lazy (our guardian doesn't even speak) Multiple DLCs planned before the beta was released I can go for a while obviously lol Bungie didn't listen to us, they listened to their wallets. D2 will be more deserted in January of 2018, than D1 is now

The timed nightfall will completely change how we play it, no more hiding far away and chipping down health.
-
1 RispondiThe shield exploding mechanic was in the beta. I never noticed it because the effect wasn't that big but datto did a video about it with gameplay footage.
-
4 RisposteI read that in Nightfalls we won't be able to change weapon load outs..... What's the point in different shield types, and them exploding for AoE damage, if I can't change my damn weapons anyway?!.... After this, what's the point in a new weapon system in the first place....

1 RispondiSHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!
Says every moron who continues to buy into hype before actually seeing what's there
Im excited for lost sectors i hope they continue to add more of those with each expansion.

10 Risposte
There's apparently so much content, at one point in development players were reaching the end of the character progression at around the 55-hour mark, and there was still more PVE stuff left to experience. The progression has since been tweaked to keep that drip-feed of advancement over the whole game.
This is from a Destructoid article taking about the Edge article. There's two exciting things about this: 1). There's at least 55 hours worth of content! 2). Progression is matched by content. So we won't run through the story missions in two days and spend the next two months grinding the same strikes and patrols just to reach the level cap. Hallelujah!

This game is going to be amazing.

I don't think I like the idea of an exotic being thrown at you as soon as you start.

Is that the chestpiece with the 6 wings on its back? I was hoping for a better perk than hovering in the air. But it would make sense since it has wings (if it's that chestpiece).

7 RisposteWhen did a story making sense become an accomplishment, why isn't that standard?
-
2 RisposteThere was this quote that stated that the cabal had one of our allies hostage. Confirmation that the speaker isn't evil?
-
Nightfall are actually timed now?
-
39 RisposteIm sorry but it doesnt make sense from beggining to end, we are expected to believe that there were zero reports of any cabal activity in the system prior to them arriving at the tower, meanwhile all our early warning/defence systems are taken out, without anyone noticing or any alarms being raised, then they are right in front of us? Yeh really believable. Then we see something attempting to take the traveller, and instead of heading straight for that thing, which would make sense as if it succeeds we lose all power, we attempt to take some shields out on an irrelevant cabal ship. I dont know about the ending, but the beggining isn't believable, unless theyve changed it.

Better start shutting down those click bait youtubers saying theirs 80+ story missions. But on the bright side can't wait for the melt down
-
2 RisposteModificato da TeslaDoc: 8/14/2017 12:59:45 AMI remember being told that one of the DLCs was "going to be so good we'd throw money at the screen". Granted, it was a dev saying it. Good reviews from professional gaming journalists can be bought by trips to Vegas, a bunch of lines of coke, a few blowjobs and well exposed pictures that can be used for blackmail. It's just the way the industry works now. I'm waiting for real player reviews of the final version before I decide to pull the trigger.

5 RisposteHope all of this will be in the vanilla and not a sum of vanilla and first 2 dlcs....drroooool 😊
-
39 RisposteToo little too late. Besides... no changes to 4v4 pvp... no buy ... no changes to 2 primaries... no buy ... no changes to 2 path skill tree... no buy Those are core mechanics that drastically change the game... all = no buy for me. Bye.
-
2 RisposteDoes anybody know when this issue becomes available in the US? Might be a stupid question, but I'm wanting to actually read the thing
-
I wonder how many of those over 80 missions are time gated, if there are any? I wouldn't mind a day or 2 but anymore than that especially a week is a no.
-
5 RisposteEdge hated destiny 1. This is very good news.
