In PvE i think the system would allow players to see more of their super while actively doing something. Instead of just increasing the passive recharge rate, rewards players for being in the battle.
In PvP this allows players to support themselves and their teammates. A solo player who goes off and scores a lot of solo kills will be able to get more supers, and make more orbs for their team. A coordinated group of players who have good teamshotting can chain supers throughout their team. Objective play should be rewarded with a kills worth of super energy and players should NEED to be on the zones to capture it faster. It'll incentivize "Slayer" type players to hop on an OBJ more often and reward the objectively correct players for prioritizing the OBJ.
200dmg = 10% Super energy in PvP . A full solo 10 kill streak would rewardba super and dealing 2000 damage in general would charge your super. Playing the objective (Capturing Zones, Diffusing Charges) would also reward 10% super energy.
All playstyles would be rewarded by the players actions, and not a passive recharge rate. (The passive recharge should still exist, but not be heavily relied on)
Edit:
VanBuzkill suggested that super energy, based on damage dealt, should only be rewarded if the enemy is killed. I 100% agree with this (For PvP, at least)

Modificato da ThyGreatestFlame: 8/3/2017 1:52:37 PMWhen I played the beta, I thought a simple fix could be to just increase the super energy that each enemy killed gives you in PvE. This is a great alternative.
-
Crap idea. Next 👊🏻💦
-
It's an interesting idea, but I think I'd rather have this be a perk on an exotic rather than all types of damage.
-
1 Rispondiyou basically described D1 super system
-
If they left super charge the same, I'd say yeah. Make it just enough to where 2 supers per match is absolutely possible. It'll also help with boss fights where ads are far and few between. Maybe have better gains for precision damage and even finishing off enemies with precision shots.

Modificato da Patient3591: 8/3/2017 6:29:17 PMCool idea! I wouldn't want it as the default but it would make a good modifier.
-
There is gear for this..or there will be.
-
I wanted to say No right away but thinking about it, it's just a game man. Sure, why not, more supers for everyone. Spam that shit.
-
Absolutely not.
-
2 RisposteDefinitely not... The only way I can see this being viable is if they change it so your abilities have a very small cool down but using a grenade or melee ability takes away from your super energy. So a full super bar would mean you can get a super or throw 5 quick grenades or something.
-
1 RispondiIt wouldn't work well that way. Because if low level guardians do damage vs high level guardians either the high level guardian would have supers too fast or low level too slow. If they incorporate a system where landing shots grant small amounts of super energy it may work bit I like it the way it is now personally.
-
4 RisposteAs much as I wanna say 'yes' I just can't think of an idea to support it.
-
18 RisposteHell no. Getting kills should charge your super, not getting hit markers.
-
29 RisposteThat's a big fat 'Nope'. It's destiny 2, not ability spam 2
-
Like how damaging a Titan in Titanfall 2 gives a percentage of your Titan's core. I can dig that.
-
This is a thing for hunter second gunslinger tree.
-
It might work for pve but for pvp it would be a cluster -blam!-. Especially now that TtK has been increased.
-
It would be nice for PvE. Don't care about PvP.
-
It should and would remove the need to make modifiers for gear, but Bungie knows shit about balance and this would require some.
-
Obviously
-
It would have to be damage dealt without over dealt damage. For instance if I shoot a thrawl with 100hp with my sniper that does 7,000 I shouldn't be awarded the 6,900 damage as much as I like the number 69(;
-
10 RisposteIf you were to receive super energy based on damage dealt it should only be awarded when the player dies. If you did 100% of the damage you get 10% of your super. If you did 50% of the damage you get 5% of your super, etc.

4 Rispostexsilver bought=y%super charge

Do it like Overwatch.

3 RisposteModificato da The Outlaw Torn: 8/3/2017 2:15:16 AMNo, kills should. It should be the same amount it gives now.
