Stupid Mistakes in NON-Destiny Games

There's been plenty of feedback these last few days about what we feel Bungie did wrong with the D2 beta. But this isn't about that. This is a forum for you to share what you see as incredibly STUPID things done by other game manufacturers: bugs, glitches, insane plot holes, or just general stupidity... here are two that have bugged me for a long time. SPLINTER CELL BLACKLIST OK, let me be clear. Do I have any issue with Michael Ironside being replaced? No, not really. They wanted to have the same actor do voice and motion capture; I get that. But Michael ironside WAS Sam Fisher. Period, exclamation point. Sam Fisher should never have been played by anyone else. Sam Fisher's character is 56 years old in the game's timeline (2013), a little old to be running around, climbing on ledges, and getting shot at. More to the point, while Sam Fisher was a good choice to command Fourth Echelon, it didn't really work to have him both its primary commander and primary field operative. Sam Fisher (preferably played by Michael Ironside, voice only if he couldn't do MOCAP) should have stepped into Irving Lambert's command role, and Eric Johnson (who was just fine as an operative, he just isn't Sam Fisher because Michael Ironside is) should have taken the role of operative, with a different name. ELDER SCROLLS V - SKYRIM OK, spoiler alert, almost six years after the fact. There's this dragon in Skyrim who helps you save the world. But these humans, who also helped you save the world, can't get past what this dragon did a few thousand years ago. So they tell you that you have to kill him, and there's no alternative resolution to the quest. Either you kill the dragon who helped you, or you remain enemies with your other allies. It was INSANELY stupid that you weren't able to come up with an alternative solution. There's a great mod called "The Paarthurnex Dilemma" that shows how such a resolution could have occurred; only downside is it didn't have any voice acting. I think a big part of the reson for this is that the devs were rushing to make the 11-11-11 release date, so they got sloppy and left some stuff out. A similar issue existed at the orphanage, where several of the kids were talking about being adopted (one of them begs you to adopt her, awwwww) but there was no way to do so. I think they intended to include parenthood as well as marriage in the game, but ran out of time. The Hearthfire DLC later fixed this. Another thing I kind of had issues with was that there were no eligible Khajiit in the game. Since Khajiit are largely feline, it just seemed kind of creepy to marry a human or elf. Khajiit cjharacters should have been able to marry within their race. Just an opinion... SO, those are my contributions... what utterly BONEHEADED things have you seen in games? Please exclude Destiny complaints, since we already have around 359,118,904 topics for that. And remember to mention the game title first... spoilers are almost inevitable, but let other players know they're coming. EDIT: I actually wrote a story based on the Paarthurnax Dilemma, but I don't currently have a place to put it. Once I do, I'll put a link in my Index page. In the meantime, a link to the mod: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MnpfNI25p0w
