Stickies, ice breaker and sidearms.
D2 PVP was a way better experience.
Joined one game in progress on D1 PVP and got super killed 5 times in a row, 5 storm callers spamming abilities.
8 games of clash gave me 19 (yes 19 ) primary kills and we won most of them.
Roll on D2.
Edit: Game mode Clash not mayhem clash.

3 RisposteBetter than those closet sized maps with two primaries that do half the amount of damage as a destiny weapon does. A lot more one on one combat In destiny, mayhem, bigger maps, primary special and heavy!!? yeah...I'll take my chances. Players keep saying adapt to the 4v4. You cant adapt to 6v6? Sidearms? Use one or find a way to counter. Snipers? Stay out of the sniping lanes. You get a kill in destiny that kill is yours, get half a kill in D2 that kill is yours and his/hers?

5 RisposteTBH I never had an issue with the shotgun meta... or any meta really

2 RispostePeople who support D2 crucible: "Alright yeah! Teamwork and actual skill!" People who are wrong: "I CAN'T SPAM MY STORM AND GET BREAKERS REEEEEEEEEEEEE!!"

4 RisposteModificato da Make Believe: 7/26/2017 1:23:27 PMD1 PvP is all out fun by comparison. D2 just is boring, uninteresting and so so slow by comparison. I heard a lullaby in background. PVP hardly kept my attention. I'm hoping there so much to do in PVE I don't have to go into that mode much. Im normally a pretty positive old man but D2 PvP in beta just rubbed me the wrong way. I hope they find a way to give some excitement back to the mode before launch. But 4 now dear god it is a drag.

12 RisposteModificato da DeathPony07: 7/26/2017 1:29:17 PMLOL Destiny 2 PvP is the worst in modern gaming. A slow, boring, teamshooting campfest with weak ass weapons. I'm so glad I'm a mostly PvE player. You PvP ceybabies screwed yourselves.

I bet the same players that cried and cried about D1 PVP, the ones that helped get everything nerfed and create this sticky/sidearm meta, are the same players loving the 1.3 ttk noob friendly D2 PVP, at least until they cry and cry about certain aspects of it and ruin that too.....

The salt...how long will it be before the entire universe is nothing but salt?
-
Not sure of the point OP. 19 kills with a primary in 8 games is not down to the game but its down to you! Assuming you are talking regular clash.
-
It was never not painful for you, i'm sure.

3 RisposteI personally really enjoyed going back to d1 yesterday. Fired up mayhem and lit the world on fire then switched to a striker and hulk smashed some dudes. It's fun using your super hero abilities. It's a futuristic game based on space magic. If someone doesn't like that then maybe it's not the game for them. Maybe cod or battlefield is more their speed. I really hope they put a mayhem mode in d2, but maybe not have it count towards people precious kds. I'm not even close to good at pvp, but I have fun in there relaxing after work. I did notice in a few matches last night groups team shooting in regular clash. 4 guys grouped together with 2 icebreakers towards the back cleaning up. For the record I rarely use my secondary, but I do use stickies from time to time. More of when I realize I'm going to lose the gunfight, why not toss one out. I'm really on the wait and see side of d2 though. I hope there's much more to the game otherwise I don't see playing it as much as I did d1.

1 RispondiI got fist of havoced through a wall and that was it for me. I should just wait the month and a half for destiny 2 to come.

3 RisposteI can sympathize with your frustration of re-experiencing the ability spam. I get it. But I actually had somewhat of the opposite reaction going back to D1. After about 35 hrs of grinding on the beta, I found D1 refreshing in certain key aspects. D1 gunplay feels so much crispier. I would take it's primary guns--their handling, AA, flinch, hit registration--the feel of movement and the environment over the beta. Why? Because the issues in D1 are actually easier to fix. The fixes we wanted to crucible in D1 was damage decrease to abilities (like stickies and melees) and the cool downs dialed up just a bit (including supers). We wanted Bungie to stop intentionally setting up specific weapons/types that explicitly broke their own rules (Icebreaker, Invective, Sidearms). The fixes to D1 are so obvious is laughable that they -blam!-ed it up in the first place. We wanted those things overshadowing a crispy, wonderful feeling set of primaries to be reigned in just a bit so the strength of D1 could shine brighter. That's what I thought their announced changes to crucible at D2 reveal would entail. What we got, however, (and, granted, this isn't the final product) was a hand holding nerf blanket to everything including the primaries that narrowed the skill gap tremendously to favor, nearly enforce, a fairly dry, obvious strategy of pure teamshot. Movement is far less effective to your play. It's no longer feasible to do what I just did last night with pushing a flank by myself and 1 v 3'ing three opponents on the other team with my primary based on precise shooting and movement tactics. It's still irritating as hell to have a potato trade with you that you three tapped, because they threw a sticky in their final moment. It pisses me off when I have lightning nades being spammed indoors to control a territory by 2 strikers with Armamentarium and 5 discipine. But I prefer the guns I'm using, the environment I'm shooting in, and the way my guns feel in D1 to the current beta build's safety nerf blanket with safety pins preventing most every strat beside teamshot with weapons that largely feel like shooting a nef gun with worse target acquisition.

It's mixed for me cause I didn't necessarily love D2 PvP. Felt too slow to me. Not to mention as a solo player I don't love all the team shot. But D1 PvP has to much cheese in it to feel balanced so for me it's bitter sweet

2 RisposteDoes someone want my age of triumph code?
-
I enjoyed going back too. I found D2 PvP a bit numb, but i'm sure we'll get used to it. I have no idea what the melee and grenade abilities are for though. I actually feel sorry for Shoulder Chargers!
-
Didn't get much chance to play D2 because of work and stuff but the pvp was a blast. Can't wait for D2.
-
I got bird error.... D1 PvP is garbage compared to D2.
-
I much prefer the PVP in D2. Actually being forced into playing as a team makes the gameplay far more interesting. Going off on your own now gets you killed, as it should. I learned that the hard way but went on to win 13 games in a row with my clan mates. Strongly recommend playing with a full Fireteam, playing with randoms is... difficult. Communication and forward planning wins every time.

I tend to agree
-
Just imagine how crazy the forums would be if it was the other way about.

1 RispondiI haven't done it yet, I don't want to go back to that after experiencing the much improved D2 pvp I have been helping a friend through D1s story and it's amazing how much better the graphics, and ai are in d2. D1 just feels to easy right now and I can't wait for D2

Stickies can be made less powerful very easily and both sidearms and icebreaker will disappear once Bungie restores this "special is gone once you die and you should go to a special crate and wait there" bullshit. And you wouldn't die from supers all the time if Bungie decreases the amount of super energy you gain from picking up orbs or kills. Destiny weapons got nerfed a lot these last few years, but supers and grenades only slightly. And pretty much everyone has a tier 12 guardian now. So normal crucible almost feels like Mayhem crucible. I wouldn't be surprised if Bungie leaves Destiny 1 in such a mess on purpose, so that people leave it behind and move on to Destiny 2.
-
1 RispondiI disagree.
-
It feels better than the beta did, I feel like I can move and am not stuck in quicksand.

6 RisposteDisagree. D1 mayhem clash with killing people in their supers with a suros was a blast. Then supering up and showing them why it's also vital to choose when to super not just pop it cos you got it lol. Makes a mockery of the D2 PvP to be honest. Yes D2 PvP is more forced primary play but it's certainly NOT as fun as a quick D1 match of simple clash. THAT is a real issue!
