Fix these 2 things in pve, and you may have a winner. The two primary system for pve worries me though if heavy remains scarce.
EDIT: Someone pointed out nerfing enemies' health somewhat in pve. Is that the answer?
EDIT: Nobody likes the idea of enemy health reduction lol. Sorry to whoever suggested it.
EDIT: This is the community consensus from people that mostly enjoy the beta
EDIT: My personal opinion, the super charge is fine, more ammo in general needs to drop, control needs to be 100 points so it's not all supers at the end, and abilty charges need a faster cooldown.

5 RisposteAs I've just stated in 2 other topics. I pretty sure cooldowns are set to their base level for the beta and can be improved with armour pieces as per Destiny 1. I really wouldn't fret over how long it takes for your abilities to cool down or your super to charge. As for heavy, I think it's great. Only one person can collect from a box at a time, but the boxes spawn more often. That's good, it means there isn't a period in the match where it just becomes rocket madness for a few seconds then back to normal.

4 RisposteThe reason your super is charging slow is because of how basic the character is... Remember in D1 when you upgraded strength, discipline and one other thing I forgot? On the beta, those seem null, so imagine when you fully upgrade your shit, you'll have more of a super recharge than some but they will be having more grenade replenishes than you. Check out the YouTube video covering this.
-
Supers yes, although the orbs seem to empower you more than in D1..:: more team work needed this time around. In the beginning mission I had no problem with ammo. I had 4 power blocks drop, good enough for me.
-
Ammo drops in general seem scarce. Heavy ammo is not as plentiful but that just encourages you to use it where its most needed. Supers do take a while to charge but that's probably due to the lack of modifiers on our armor. For me the best loadout was hand cannon, scout and shotty/fusion. Grenade launcher seemed kinda weak.

After 9+ hours of playing on xbox. This is my only complaint.

I feel like sometimes the supers can feel a bit underwhelming. Maybe it has something to do with me changing my play style, but with arcstrider in particular it is kind of hard to get close to people. Titans also feel really slow in general but that could be because there's no titan skate anymore. With how long it takes to get them maybe they should be insanely powerful. If Bungie wants to keep the long super charge they should make you feel really powerful in the super. Conversely, they can make the super weaker but let you get it a bit quicker. Also control matches feel way too short. The timer almost never got under 3 minutes as far as I noticed. Maybe if the score limit were 100 it would make people feel like they could get another super in a match if they were doing really well. TL;DR: Super charge does seem long. Make supers stronger but slower to get or a tiny bit weaker but faster. Also longer control matches :)
Is a TL;DR even necessary here? Only time will tell....
12 RisposteModificato da GnarledRaptor13: 7/19/2017 6:41:04 PMJust finished the opening story play through and the inverted spire as a Hunter and is it me or is Ghaul really packing a Bane-ish vibe? Has this been said? GG is shooting some serious weak sauce! It's like all the whiners for the last three years finally got their wish and Bungie turned GG into a 6 round pea shooter. The Arcstrider was cool. I didn't like AB in Destiny, I might like the Strider. Power ammo was easily found in the story mission but in the Spire it was very hard to come by and when it did there wasn't a lot. I like the weapon set up. I don't remember what a Scout will fall under but I liked the AR/HC/sniper set up. I'd prefer a Scout/HCSniper. That HC Sureshot was 😍. Does everyone get that or is it class specific? Supers in PvE didn't feel like they charged very slow but like I said GG was seriously weak Grenades felt weaker too. Why didn't our Guardian speak in the beginning? I imagine that will be changed come release??? I hope. Bout to dive into the PvP and check it out. So far not bad. Hope the other classes are just as fun. And this is just me...but do the cabal helmets make them look like giant gerbils??

Pulse Handcannon Fusion rifle( non linear) Meta for beta pvp

Modificato da JonnyNiHiL: 7/20/2017 8:33:51 AMExtreme lack of power ammo in pve, but im sure they'll bring out gear or mods that'll increase drop rate. No use complaining on something that isn't finished...

1 RispondiModificato da vitisku1: 7/20/2017 3:06:33 AMI don't have a problem with the recharge rate as such. But the damage output of the super definitely has to be brought up to make the long recharge worth the wait. My main problem is the player movement. It's just not fluid. That's one thing I feel didn't need to be changed from D1, they already had it nailed. Also, I have to say, I really hate the new hud in pvp. Like, really -blam!-ing hate it. It's too scattered, there's shit everywhere.
-
3 RisposteSooooooo I TIMED THE SUPERS: with the Gear that we have in the beta, and WITHOUT kills, in PVE and PVE the time it takes to get a super is approximately 7:30...... Unbelievable right? I kind of agree... I feel like that number could be brought down a tad...
-
after seeing many posts about this they may do something about it
-
Modificato da Madman_ddg: 7/20/2017 7:36:23 AMI hope after you get better and better gear the cooldown time will be shorter and shorter..... (i hope...)
-
Modificato da Semper Fidelis: 7/20/2017 7:23:00 AMpvp in d2 is for pussies to feel like men: starting shooting at the opponent, what happens with the opponent? "Oh wait, im running away to get help from my teammates" instead of doing 1vs1... hope codww2 is going to be good...the stuff right now is a mix of cod/overwatch and destiny. waiting for the official release...maybe something changes
-
Do you want some -blam!- like me to just run around with a rocket launcher? Or the god awful grenade launcher?
-
8 RisposteDoes anyone notice the time it takes for radar to pop back up after scoping back in? It's a bit of a delay that I don't really like. Another thing in pvp your kd and kills also count assists, like even if u don't kill someone it will say double kill and what not. Is it meant to be like that?
-
Modificato da MurkySquash: 7/20/2017 6:25:45 AMI will agree with you on power ammo drops in PVE. It drops very infrequently, I never seem to have power ammo. In PVP though, I honestly think the spawn rate is fine, I have ammo more often then I ever did in D1. I think it may just take some time to get use to weapon slot changes. With super charge, it would be nice to have a pun increased speed in PVE. Using the a super to dig into a wave of enemies is good fun. With the slow recharge I find I hold on to super longer than usual. I am fine with the speed in PVP though. This is just my opinion, so to each their own.
-
6 RisposteI do not agree with the slow super charge being an issue. I think mod slots are going to be used in armor to increase regen rate of various abilities/supers. Effectively, I think the base is low to create better separation in "builds" with the full release as people begin getting various mods to tweak grenade/melee/super recharge. POWER (not heavy) ammo is meant to be scarce as if you notice snipers are now a POWER weapon. They're trying to enforce roles within high level activities, instead of everyone just running a sniper + rocket and wrecking bosses. I personally like the changes and want to see how they pan out.
-
Your abilities are situational not something you just spam you actually need some sort of skill.
-
Even though theres so many people who seem to not like it, and voice that they dont, they'll still play it. Same thing happened in D1
-
No issue with slow super Heavy could drop more often but also not too worried as of now I just want the d1 radar back
-
3 RisposteIncorrect supers r perfect and so r heavy
-
Lack of random rolls on weapons is a terrible idea. Scout rifles are worthless trash now. How is new hunter subclass any different from Arc? Super is nearly identical. Supers are too short AND too slow to charge. Lack of HDR and 60 fps is just pathetic. 4v4 is fun but party play is going to be rampant and most games will end in Lord Shaxx saying blam this. Game still looks great even though it's an expansion. PVE is going to be awesome as always.
-
Synths fix heavy problem plus armor with heavy perks and cooldown for super will probably be in the skill try or mods for weapons. Remember its a beta, they cant give us everything
-
1 RispondiSupers definitely charge too slow unless you're a PvP god. It's not just heavy ammo drops, ammo drops in general are really rare for certain guns like the tarantula. Dawnblade needs to be extended in pve, NOT PVP.
