Name one thing you liked about the first destiny.

My answer: Soundtrack.

The original, year 1, pre nerf exotics. When an exotic was markedly better than a legendary. I never left home without my hawkmoon in my hand, now I never bother putting it in my hand.

I didn't know either so I joined the mob , not realising that my first legendary couldn't be stolen , I seen it drop and bolted for the cave . I was stressing thinking someone will steal it. ✌🏻😂 Heavy machine gun yr1 it was awesome too . Oh and pushing Atheon off , so many things that many VoG users never got to as they were patched Shortly after

8 RisposteYear One or Vanilla in general. I'm sure there will be a number of players out there that have no clue or disagree, but I miss Year One. The chase for weapons, armor, ships, shaders, and emblems was insane. Why? Because everything wasn't delivered to you on a silver plater. The times I miss. - Waking up early Friday to see what Xur had for sale. - Beating the Nightfall without reset and getting a exotic. If all players died, you were forced back to orbit to reset. - Beating VOG and getting a helmet to drop or a Vex mytho. - Grinding to hit level 30. - Sharing the VOG Exotic chest check point for 45 minutes every Thursday. - Seeing you or someone else get their first Gally and the excitement that ensued. - Seeing one of the faction ships, shaders or emblems drop or another Guardian having them equipped. - Running POE, beating Skolas and earning the very last of the legendary primary elementals to ever drop in the game. - The days before "nerfs" and a whinny forum. Everybody was just happy to play. Go back and look at any of the year one videos on YouTube and you will see exactly what I'm taking about. Those are the foundations of this game and community. Here is to D1 and all of the great times we have shared. Here is also to D2. Let it make some more found memories for all of us.....CHARG3R.

The grind. How necessary it was and the time it took. I miss the old days when it was difficult to get good gear. It made the good gear seem even better. *heavy sigh*

I've of the Bestest Things... During exploration and finding those level ??? Dudes that kicked my @$$ during patrol and missions in the Cosmo. Then getting high enough to go kill them!
