I play mainly pve. I already preordered on Xbox and ps4 and will get it on pc. Sue me.

Give me a free ps4 copy and I won't punch you.

Lol you could try

Challenge...............excepted 😈

Sounds like Bungie is doing something to you already.
-
Same....... Am a badddddd mannnnn!!!!
-
You play pve only, and thats fine. You may never experience some of the horrendous lag if you dont play pvp. My question is: what are you going to do in the game when theres no new content for you to play? Thats why most of us play crucible
-
My problem with your viewpoint is you act like PvP is the only thing that matters in the game. Look at the hate since the reveal. The vast bulk of it coming from PvP players doesn't change that the PvE side actually looks pretty good. But... back to PvP. Bungie has clearly made the choice to go for MLG and eSports, it's plain as day. They've learned they can't mix casual and competitive PvP with a unified sandbox. They've learned P2P won't support 6v6 reliably. They've made some hard but understandable choices. And it's about time. Don't get me wrong, I'm a casual player, and this will likely run me out of PvP for good. That said, it is the right call. The only way we get faster updates to the game, more content, etc. is if there are resources to make it happen. eSport money is the most likely way, and that comes at the price tag of making Destiny PvP prioritized for competitive play. It's just good business.
-
Pve side looks fine I agree. My whole point was really the connection issues and lack of content for the game that isnt resold as DLC's. I seriously hope for future players' sake that the new development team knows what "balanced" means
-
My make or break issue is separation of the sandbox. PvP cannot dictate PvE play anymore.

Raid weekly then play a different game. Same as I did in destiny 1.
-
So youre only playing half of the content? Seems like a waste to me.
-
And it doesn't to me. It's as if people can have different opinions of what is worth it to them.
-
Certainly youre entitled to your opinion. Since you dont play pvp, lag really isn't a concern for you like it is for me. Obviouslyyou wont care what they use for networking in a competitive gaming situation
-
Destiny has too much variance to ever be a competitive game
-
Theyre trying to make it MLG. If you dont believe look it up
-
It will never happen.
-
Disagree - Bungie is positioning D2 PvP for competitive play. They'll have to work out balance in subclasses, but if they create game modes with vanilla guns, you bet it could go eSport.
-
You're not wrong, but I do not think that will happen. Toooo much has to change for it to happen. Bungie has made it clear that they want 'your guy to be your guy' in and out of the crucible, which is why an all vanilla guns mode is out of the question. The changes to smaller team modes was a concession to the sweaty community of the game. But there are too many variables otherwise. If it all really happens, great but I just don't see it.
-
I don't think it's out of the question modes can't be set up for vanilla guns. The reveal mode played just like eSports. Supers give the game a distinctive niche. I feel Bungie just committed to MLG/eSports. I could be wrong, but if they don't go all the way now they've just screwed themselves.

Modificato da TrixRidiculous: 5/20/2017 3:23:22 PMLet us not forget, they did not commit to dedicated servers. So how serious are they really taking it?
-
Dedicated servers are only necessary for tournament play.
-
No, that would be LAN setup. Dedicated servers would be for any online play to stabilize the network overall and give the best experience. LAN allows PCs to connect directly, taking internet out of the equation entirely. This is mandatory for any esports event where no latency is tolerable.
-
I stand corrected, but in he end the result is the same. The bones are there for competitive play.
-
Thres already a page on MLG for it....not too far off I'd say
