The Current Crucible Meta Is The Worst One Yet
I have been playing trials since year 1 and never have I ever struggled as much as I have in this meta for the sole reason of sticky grenades. I know what I am saying when I say they are an issue; people would rather chuck a nade and trade with you instead of challenge with primary(for credentials look up k/d or trials report). It's honestly sickening the amount of times I have been stuck on the toe around corners...there needs to be a trade off higher than just a single kill it's just too strong in a meta where there is literally no differentiation amongst guardians.
The crucible meta is by far in its worst state as of now for the sole fact that there is nothing different being used. Everyone either has a wormwood or an icebreaker and it's just plain stale. What I would do to address the stickies is make it like a Semtex grenade like in COD where there is literally no tracking. In regards to the special economy a revival needs to be brought back; it is just infuriating that in this meta if you are point blank on an orb in trials and someone is getting res you need to bail its literally impossible to kill a resee and res at close range with just PRIMARY so in order to address the special economy I would: 1)Revert the sniper nerf; tone down the damage of sidearms; and bring it so that special only diminishes by 25% for every death. 2) Encourage primary encounters by making it so that ONLY primary kills will drop 1-2 special shots for sniper/shotgun as well as having the special ammo boxes come up in the current time intervals. I am open to any criticism on what I proposed.

They have no counter now that special is gone; this is the issue at hand. Staggering numbers of abilities kills have been showing up in trials as of late compared to actual gun kills.
Personally I really don't want to leave destiny in the meta it's currently in. I don't want to remember destiny 1 as the meta we are in right now. Think about when destiny 2 is out and we decide to come back to destiny 1 and just get stuck every time and have no special to use our weapons that are collecting dust in the vault.

4 RisposteThey do take skill but are broken for sure due to their aim assist. I know plenty of people who are bad a sticking and even say they suck. The issue is when someone masters them then there is barelly any need for having a weapon as you get them back rather often(25sec). I used double magnetics on trials and it was so easy and unfair to get kills. Their main issue is the aim assist. To prove my point further check out my titan and you'll see I have more grenade kills then any other weapon, which came mainlly from sticking others. I dont enjoy playing on it because it feels unfair and instead I've been on my hunter latelly. Also having the increased grenade throw distance gauntlets help them out even more at longer distances. All sticky grenades need is removed aim assist or to be reworked in some other ways. Right now they are obnoxious to others and intenselly unfair - overpowered ( in the right hands)[spoiler]evrything was taken out so this is whats left[/spoiler]

What was intended to encourage me to use my primary, actually had the opposite effect. We've made our feelings crystal-clear, in this and countless other topics. But unfortunately, I believe that our feelings in the matter were part of the plan. They had to know that continuous special ammo loss would anger and frustrate all players who relied on a non-sidearm special in any significant way. Do not think otherwise, friends, these are not stupid people. They undoubtedly possess a sound understanding of gamer psychology: they are professionals, and professionals have to understand the people they're serving. Their plan was to force players to use their primaries, however much they might dislike the process. Instead of persuasion, they resorted to force. Instead of encouragement, they opted for punishment. Instead of making primaries desirable, they made specials frustrating. And that is why they ignored our six weeks of protest when, on 3-28, they not only kept the nerf in effect, but intensified it by applying it to sidearms. They made the decision that their tool for creating their primary meta would be negative reinforcement. They knew that protests would be generated, and they opted to ignore them. I find it interesting that they have not said anything to attempt to explain why they stuck with the nerf, despite the outrage among the majority of players. Maybe they know that their decision cannot be easily justified. As a disclaimer, I don't work for Bungie, so I can only hypothesize why they have done what they did. However, in light of the evidence, I think it's the explanation that makes the most sense.

1 RispondiIts not that nobody wants to fight with primary, but its that people wont fight unless they hit you with a nade first or they wont fight because they're nade isn't up and they cant finish you without a nade. Thats a possible reason why there are so many hand cannons in the crucible right now, throw a nade, shoot once or twice, get back to cover, repeat if necessary.

It's not that the guns, or the armor, or any of that is good, it's the player that is most important. If you were the best player in the world you could pick up green weapons and still dominate. I hate these threads because you all seem to sound like little kids crying over balance. Practice more, whine less. It's that simple.

1 RispondiAgree 110%. The Meta is trash. Crucible is a joke now. If you don't have a god roll Palindrome and a god roll Wormwood you can forget it. I don't like hand guns at all. I didn't know this was a hand gun shooter game but that's what they turned it into. It's not fun anymore for me. If they do this in D2 they will never get my $$

It shouldn't vanish into the aether. God, could you imagine what the world economy would be like if money vanished when you spent it?

2 RisposteThe only problems with stick grenades are..... 1. Bungie broke all the other option in the game's with nerfs. In the Case of Sunsingers, their fusion grenade is LITERALLY the only grenade they have that is remotely viable for PVP. 2. Bungie removed all the counters to sticky grenade use from the game by starving the game of special ammo. Sticky grenades used to be kept in check by shotguns and fusion rifles who made it difficult to close to grenade range....and difficult to escape without dying even if you made it in. Now those risk are gone. When the cat's away...the mice will play. The solution isn't nerfing stickies. Its giving people their special ammo back, and BUFFING the game's primaries.
