The reason we have a game that was chopped up and fed to us piece by piece is Because of Activision. Choosing profit over good gaming. Activison has to please investors, and if they don't they lose money. Here is the thing: Activision could have let Bungie work on Destiny a little longer and a delay would not be unreasonable. Corporate greed is a cancer in the industry. Investors don't care about the product. They care about making money. Its why we see CoD year on year. There's no need for it but they do it anyway. Because they make millions off it. I not against making money. Every business needs to make money. We don't need to pre-order games. This practice just fuels the fire. I wish pre-order bonuses didn't exist. This all relates to the business of profit. Are companies that uncertain of a product that they need to add happy meal toys to entice us? There's a lot i want say but i am tired. Have a good day/night

The CoD argument is a little flawed. A new game might come out each year, but they now have three year development cycles per game.
Chamoo, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this forum is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
This post is cut content. Should have been in year 1.
-
The only thing that needs to leave are your characters from the crucible.
hey-o!!
-
theres a call of duty game every year because theres more then one studio that develops games for the franchise. and since sledgehammer games is actually creating their own call of duty games now rather then just helping create them, each cod game has 3 years once 1 drops.
-
Only 3 more years left before bungie could leave it's abusive husb... I mean they fell down some stairs!!
-
Both parties signed an agreement via contract. Don't blame activision for bungie getting involved in a project they couldn't keep up with via the size of their company.
-
3 RisposteI generally agree with this post but the thing is; Bungie can't simply leave Activision. Activision are responsible for marketing the game, and producing copies on a grand scale. They are also responsible for paying Bungie employees. They can't simply back out because the fans don't agree with their marketing tactics. Also, Bungie is locked into a 10-year contract with Activision, so they couldn't back out even if they wanted to (I'm assuming as I have never seen the finer details of their contract). Yes, it is a crappy move that Activision broke apart Destiny and sold it separately. Also diluting the CoD series down to nothing (even though they didn't really have a direction to go in with CoD). But seeing how more and more people are jumping on the bandwagon against Activision, all you can hope for is they change their ways. And hey, if you don't like it that much; don't buy their games.

$500 Million dollars for 10 years of Destiny. Yeah, let's empty our pockets
-
Spoilt brat alert
-
Yeah but the reason we have a game is activision
-
2 RisposteYou do understand, Destiny is Activision's IP and Bungie are just the developers right? If bungie stopped developing Destiny, Activision would just get another dev team Unless bungie pulled a fromsoftware and made a very similar game with a different title
-
Another broken record, don't you people get tired of being so wound up all the time?
-
17 RisposteNobody forced Bungie to sign with activision Overwatch is managed completely different even though they are under activisions umbrella too You're giving Bungie way too much credit, they're incompetent and most of the good employees left before/during year 1
-
Bungie sucks as well. Most of their talent left. They're using their name alone to bring in bungie fans.
-
Here is the thing: Activision could have let Bungie work on Destiny a little longer and a delay would not be unreasonable
They already delayed once.
-
Destiny needs to leave Bungie. Bungie and Activision are soul mates with their greed and crap business practices
-
They'll be able to in about 6 years.

5 RisposteModificato da Prof Sheitbag: 4/25/2017 9:43:10 PMWhat I find so funny is Bungie left Microsoft precisely because they did not feel they could make the games they wanted. They didn't want to make Halo titles anymore, and Microsoft was like: "No! Moar Master Chief = Moar profit!" So Bungie went to Activision, and now they are chained to an even worse corporate overlord. LMAO
-
Or, put your money where your mouth is: buy stock in Activision! I did, it was a great idea!
-
Activision have Bungie by the throat. Bungie is no more it's just a name that Activision use to boost sales.
-
The same rule applies in this matter. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
-
chopped up and fed to us piece by piece is Because of Activision
You need proof for this. I get that there is frustration but don't let it get in the way of rationality.

I don't think activision controls bungie as much as it does all the studios that make cod for them. Granted I'm sure they have some say so but it probably more so comes in the form of activision having 30-40% voting power on major decisions made concerning destiny with bungie having 60-70%. Activision is making money off of the bungie brand not the other way around regardless of how much money they may have put up bungie still has the majority vote so for the most part are still calling the shots. Everyone wants to make lots and lots of money so don't be naive to think bungie was completely against blocking off content from vanilla as long as there was plenty of other content to play and they maintained steady daily users, then why wouldn't they? If I was in their shoes I would probably do the same thing.
