Wow, they're really leaning hard into the comedy element. Feels weird all of a sudden that the tone of Destiny almost necessitates a laugh track.

I like the idea of starting over. Maybe this would be a good way for them to balance out game play. Things I would like to see in D2: 1. Race advantages - Have your race count for more than appearance. Both pluses and minuses to stats. Advantages for playing different character classes, such as an Exo Titan getting a boost to damage, An Awoken Warlock having a decrease in Super charge time allowing them to cast spells more often, or a Human Hunter having increased accuracy with long range weapons. 2. A better storage system - I know I'm not the only one that likes to hoard hard to obtain items. 3. Armor/Weapon smithing - It is absolutely frustrating trying to find matching armor for your class and play style. Also, hoping you get a decent roll on your non-exotic weapons is tiresome and can waste a lot of time and money. Have this be like Skyrim where you have to collect certain items to create your weapons and armor and as you level up in this skill you can exercise some limited control over the boosts your weapons and armor get. 4. More options for cooperative vs solo game play - I'm a noob when it comes to online gaming, but I really enjoy playing this game. I get frustrated though when a quest line says I need to do a Nightfall Strike or Raid. I enjoy being able to play on my own and not having to rely on others to be on at the same time as me. 5. Actually having stealth game play - Where D1 was lacking for me was the Hunter class. I wanted to be able to hide at long range and pick off enemies with a sniper rifle or sneak up on an enemy and knife them in the back. This was a missed opportunity in my opinion.

I stopped playing after the time after TTK release and didn't bother with rise of iron. After seeing the trailer It now looks like they are adding a meaningful story. Hopefully the gameplay reveal will solidify my hopes that they got their shit together and are intent on delivering the Destiny that we should've gotten.
