I know, it's a disappointment to hear that your favorite legendary raid weapons aren't going to have elements in then anymore, but that's not a problem. Here's why. If they were then everyone would begin ditching weapons they grinded for and it's all you would see in PvE, absolutely no variety. Weapons like Zahlo would be completely obsolete, and it's only really used in nightfall or heroic strikes with arc burn. Another example of the past when people used VoC, Black Hammer and Gjallarhorn on solar nightfalls. Remember how op you were. Remmeber why Black Hammer isn't coming back. If you're worried about storage then it's your fault. In a horder of old gear myself (I have a supremacy, vanilla Dead Orbit gear and more, fight me) and the solution finally hit me today, get rid of old raid gear and other useless items the will never see the light of day except if it's just rare to the point of disbelief. Don't hold onto exotics you don't use, that's what the Exotic Kiosk is for. You don't need 3 of each exotic weapon, just transfer between characters, that's what this app can be used for. I do that with my swords, I have no problem with them. Also your emblems show your triumphs just as much as obsolete gear does. Elemental weapons are supposed to feel special and different from regular weapons. Right? Having elemental raid will obviously make you feel special. They feel like they're more than legendary weapons. That's why they are returning as exotics. Because they're special like every other exotic in the game. Edit: Just an addition, just because the weapon looses it's element dosent mean it looses all it's stats and perks. Its still the same weapon, elelment or not. The elements in then are still very situational, and if used against just a shield then it doesn't deliver an extremely dramatic impact.
