You know it's bad if I want the matador/ clever dragon meta.
Trials of Osiris is so much worse. If you don't have at least a no land, an icebreaker, a sidearm, or an invective in your arsenal, you're screwed. At least you could use special weapons in the last meta. Sure you would be at a disadvantage but at least the option was there. If you use any other weapon, you would have to wait 20 seconds for special. In that time, you can get rushed and killed. Sure people will say (don't camp then. Just push.) Which is what anyone would do. The problem is that you won't have any special.
Before, you were at a disadvantage when using special that wasn't in the meta. Now you're literally not allowed to use any other special in the meta.

I don't mind the whole sidearm meta. Just bring back pulse rifles. All they had to do was nerf the flinch. Now as the days go on you continue to see less and less weapon diversity.

Rumble is pretty good rn, seems like there's an honor for no sidearms, which is great.

Same would take being shot through walls with cleaver dragon any day than this

2 RisposteAll they had to do was tone down HCRs and reduce the range on high RoF pulse rifles and reduce the spawn/pickup ammo for specials SLIGHTLY and it would have been a pretty good change.

Bungie was like Jack Skellington with this meta change: their intentions were noble, but the results were catastrophic. Sadly, it took an artillery barrage to bring Jack around to the error of his ways. I do hope Bungie will be less clueless than he was.

Its the same now, if you chose not to use the meta, yea youll be at a disadvantage but its not as if it wont allow you to que into trials without those weapons equiped.

4 RisposteI went 21-2 last weekend without any of that in trials of Osiris last weekend. I stood in the same character while the other guy I ran with changed his characters and basically went flawless twice last week.
