So a TL,DR for the article.
1) Our weapons, armor, ships, emblems, Eververse stuff, etc. will NOT carry over to Destiny 2. The only thing that will carry over is our class (titan, hunter, warlock), and what our Guardians actually look like.
2) The Spring Update is called "Age of Triumph" and will be released at the end of March.
3) The first reveal stream will be this Wednesday, March 8th, followed by two more streams on Wednesday each week leading to the update.
4) The first reveal stream picture is a picture of the entrance to Vault of Glass with a Minotaur in front of it.
5) The second reveal stream picture has some new symbols for the weekly activities. One has the House of Judgment symbol, and the other has the Darkness skull symbol.
6) The third reveal stream picture I don't know what it is a picture of.
So speculating...
a) We can probably assume that at least Vault of Glass will be coming back. Probably Crota's End too.
b) The two new weekly activity symbols... the House of Judgment one is probably a Prison of Elders activity... maybe a revamped Challenge of Elders? The Darkness skull activity I think might be a "Nightfall Raid", where they select one raid each week, and we do it on hard mode, but with nightfall modifiers, like burns, Chaff, Airborne, etc.
Thoughts?
EDIT: People are salty Jesus. "I want the game to remain the same forever and then complain that there's no new content!" Hypocrites.
EDIT 2: Just realized the new weekly activity with a Darkness symbol is the raid symbol. WEEKLY RAID?!?!
EDIT 3: Y'all need to listen. Everyone is freaking the -blam!- out that cosmetic stuff won't be going over (emblems, shaders, ships, sparrows). Did you ever stop and think maybe they have a BETTER system for this shit in Destiny 2? Maybe the shaders are mix and match and we can pick from a color wheel? Maybe we can design our own emblem? Maybe there is -blam!-ING SPACESHIP COMBAT and we can't use the cosmetic ships? Think about it. We don't know what the new features are. So chill the -blam!- out and wait and see.

Probably going to add a new progress book for the event. Do weekly raids, nightfalls, strikes, crucible. Adding some sort of a checklist.
-
I want to change my appearance!!! That is all!!!
-
I -blam!-ing hope we get ship combat
-
what if that image with raids symbols is actually emblem you get for Destiny 2 to show that you played Destiny 1 ?
-
I think this Horizon game will chew up a good chunk of time. But, if vog is coming back WITH elemental primaries like the old days? I'm def gonna play. Then again, Mass Effect is coming out really soon. That game can easily eat up hundreds of hours. I'm thinking I'll wait for some reviews of destiny 2 then get it if they learn to separate pve and PvP. Then? Perfect game
-
I'm thinking this is going to be what they had in the road map from long ago. A small expansion focused on the vex storyline. I'm guessing after we kill whatever is in VOG will leave us vulnerable for the cabal to attack. Quick remaster to setup and plant the seed for Destiny 2.

3 RisposteIt would be cool to see shaders and emblems return, butI think ships and sparrows should just leave it out. When you have a completely fresh start in those vehicle sections, it would be a lot easier and effective to revamp their system and purpose to something more...exciting. Oh I don't know. Spaceship dog fights? Sparrows with guns? MORE VEHICLES IN GENERAL?

2 Rispostepfft "Age of Triumph" - I'm pretty sure they mean how they've Triumphed over all of us, laughing all the way to the bank at how well thier little cash grab has worked. It's honestly pretty crappy that we're losing all our stuff, I mean part of becomming a legend - at least to me - meant making a mark/carving a bloody swath through my enemies with my most beloved weapons and armor. I'll be fine with it ultimately if 1) My Grimoire is preserved and 2) The game actually delivers (unlike D1) and ends up being fun and worth investing into. But that's a *big* "IF" at this point. I want this IP to do well and to be fun and emgaging etc. but given Bungie's track record so far, I choose to remain skeptically optimistic. If they cock it up again, there'll be Borderlands 3 to pick up the slack (not to mention ME Andromeda is coming soon). but I would like to see Destiny 2 be everything and more that we'd hoped for but never got with D1. and there had damn well better be dedicated servers for PvP this time!
-
2 RisposteEververse stuff doesn't carry over. that's a bit of a b***h slap, isn't it? I'm sure we can re-purchase it though. Dances, Emotes, etc.?
-
I wish they would scrap everything for D2, including the name. Maybe call it Cinnamon, instead of Destiny.
-
Did you notice the main image? Top left, vault of glass. Top right, crotas end. Bottom left, kings fall. Bottom right, wrath of the machine. It might just be all of the raids and the accomplishments, but I would love for a bump to vault of glass. Still my favorite, and probably others favorites too
-
Trying not to be to negative, but with Mass effect coming out I think most of us will be playing that. I've been doing crota every week still trying to get my crux to drop. This whole dropping a little bits of info at a time if pretty annoying.
-
Dumbest thing about only our character's appearance and Class carrying over? All that stuff that was bought through Eververse (ya know, the things we had to pay REAL money to get) will not carry over.
-
Don't give a shit really. I'll probably hop on to kick Atheon and Crotas's once to see what they changed or fixed or BROKE. meh

Of you look at the news article's main logo it is comprised of three shields. The top-left shield it is broken into five sections: stripes, two swords, the Taken King logo, and a series of squares. At the bottom is a group of ships flying towards the top of the page. This is all purely speculation, but I find it quite obvious. The stripes represent Vault of Glass, the swords represent Croat's End, TTK logos represent King's Fall, and the squares are of SIVA, representing Wrath of the Machine. This is a representation of the challenges ahead of Guardians: all raids are being brought up to higher light level (probably 370, unless this update also increases max light).

I'm glad to start over fresh, who wants the look at the same shit they've seen a million times? (Emblems, emotes, shaders) I'm sick of seeing the same old emblems, same old emotes and using the same shaders, if people are soo damn hung up on them then stay in D1---out with the old and in with the new people.
-
Looking forward to to a fresh start and new content. This Destiny was a beta looking forward for the actual game release. For the ppl freaking out calm down you'll still get somethings for all your hard work besides your still going to keep your character.
-
I'll be on other games instead of more reskins
-
I personally would like emblems, shaders, and other cosmetic only things to carry over. I would also like the chance to change my guardian more like change gender or race or other facial features WITHOUT deleting them and starting from scratch.
-
As long as they make destiny 2 fun in every way, and stop shitting on their fans. I might be able to forgive bungie for all the stuff they have put their community though.
-
If I can't have my same gear in Destiny 2, then I would just like to start a new character.
-
2 RisposteThere's allot of maybe's in there, I think you have a higher expectation for this company than the rest of us ... don't know why ... this game is pretty average.
-
4 Risposte(The most accurate depiction of the forums. 100% true, supported by people that know...things...and other stuff) Community: BRING BACK OLD RAIDS BUNGO! *Starts chanting* BRING 'EM BACK! BRING 'EM BACK! Bungie: Alrighty guys! ARE YOU READY FOR VOG!? Community: What the -blam!-? WE DON'T WANT OLD RAIDS ARE YOU STUPID! GODDAMMIT BUNGIE YOU NEVER LISTEN TO US! WE WANT NEW STUFF! Bungie: B-but-...Okay Here's some new stu- Community: BUNGIE! WHAT THE ACTUAL -blam!-!? WHERE ARE THE OLD RAIDS!?
-
2 RisposteMy favorite video game ever. Looking forward to any new content. And Destiny 2.
-
1 RispondiI feel like they should've had old raids with current light from the beginning (by that I mean since TTK.) I mean I'm glad I can play VOG again but my raid team has been gone since the beginning of Taken King, so I don't expect to be playing them
-
The last spring update got me playing again for a time, so I'm interested to see what's in store; if we take the imagery as a clue, its a possibility we could see updated raids, which should excite the raid peeps. As far as D2 goes, I guess I'm not all that bothered. It does seem silly that the one thing people don't care much about is what will carry over though. Either way, I'm just really curious how the last three years influenced the sequel. It's been a sometimes bumpy ride so far.
