Age of Triumph Spring Update Discussion
So a TL,DR for the article.
1) Our weapons, armor, ships, emblems, Eververse stuff, etc. will NOT carry over to Destiny 2. The only thing that will carry over is our class (titan, hunter, warlock), and what our Guardians actually look like.
2) The Spring Update is called "Age of Triumph" and will be released at the end of March.
3) The first reveal stream will be this Wednesday, March 8th, followed by two more streams on Wednesday each week leading to the update.
4) The first reveal stream picture is a picture of the entrance to Vault of Glass with a Minotaur in front of it.
5) The second reveal stream picture has some new symbols for the weekly activities. One has the House of Judgment symbol, and the other has the Darkness skull symbol.
6) The third reveal stream picture I don't know what it is a picture of.
So speculating...
a) We can probably assume that at least Vault of Glass will be coming back. Probably Crota's End too.
b) The two new weekly activity symbols... the House of Judgment one is probably a Prison of Elders activity... maybe a revamped Challenge of Elders? The Darkness skull activity I think might be a "Nightfall Raid", where they select one raid each week, and we do it on hard mode, but with nightfall modifiers, like burns, Chaff, Airborne, etc.
Thoughts?
EDIT: People are salty Jesus. "I want the game to remain the same forever and then complain that there's no new content!" Hypocrites.
EDIT 2: Just realized the new weekly activity with a Darkness symbol is the raid symbol. WEEKLY RAID?!?!
EDIT 3: Y'all need to listen. Everyone is freaking the -blam!- out that cosmetic stuff won't be going over (emblems, shaders, ships, sparrows). Did you ever stop and think maybe they have a BETTER system for this shit in Destiny 2? Maybe the shaders are mix and match and we can pick from a color wheel? Maybe we can design our own emblem? Maybe there is -blam!-ING SPACESHIP COMBAT and we can't use the cosmetic ships? Think about it. We don't know what the new features are. So chill the -blam!- out and wait and see.

2 RisposteThe emblem (shield) left top side is all four raids right side top are the 3 classes warlock Hunter and titan... but ther is a fourth a blank one meaning a new classe in destiny 2 or maybe nothing?.... in the middle you see the earth and the traveller and on the sides are dragons or what ever you call them......

Honestly i dont give a shit what they look like. I choose the default and got started cuz it doesnt matter. So -blam!-ing dumb that thats the only thing going forward. Eververse for those who paid for it, and emblems should be a guarentee on going forward

4 RisposteWhat ever happened to playing a game, finishing it, then starting a new game? Destiny is nearly done ( some would say it has been for a while ) so just start destiny 2 as a fresh game. Admittedly it would be cool if we got to do a mission where are guardian dies, and a mission in destiny 2 was to recover your old ghost and upload the grimoire. Maybe get a new emblem depending on what you had completed In destiny.

I think bungie should say something for peace of mind now,you can't really put a statement up like that and just leave it to people's imagination.

I am like 90% sure vog is coming back. I really doubt crota's end will. Can't think of a reason lore wise that would be possible. It would kind of negate the whole reason for oryx showing up at all. The second pic is clearly weekly activities but with twists on them. it appears raids and perhaps POE will join in that. And the last picture could be speculated to be in vog. and I personally feel that hunter is wearing the revamped Vog set for hunters. It just feels too similar to the older set.

As far as info not transferring I think I'm only upset at the eververse stuff not going over. That's paid cosmetic stuff that I feel should move over. Destiny 2 better be the overhaul it's hyped to be.

None of the things you mentioned are worth losing all of the weapons and gear that I grinded for over the past couple of years. On top of that there is no guarantee that any of these things will be added to the game, we are just as likely to have our Destiny 1 items resold to us in Destiny 2 as DLC.

2 RisposteI don't really care about carrying stuff over to D2, they can get rid of it all for me. New game new everything. I don't want to be buying a new £50 game and using the same armour or weapons I paid for 3 yrs ago, I don't care how much I had to grind for them. People moan about getting re hashed stuff now but want re hashed stuff in the NEW game, that is very contradictory and insane! First pic- is that the vault door or the door what the gate lord appears from? I can't tell. Second pic- stuff to do Third pic- looks like the gaurdian is somewere vault like looking at the light and the colum in the background on the left. But have to wait and see. At least it gives us something else to do for a month or so.
