Age of Triumph Spring Update Discussion
So a TL,DR for the article.
1) Our weapons, armor, ships, emblems, Eververse stuff, etc. will NOT carry over to Destiny 2. The only thing that will carry over is our class (titan, hunter, warlock), and what our Guardians actually look like.
2) The Spring Update is called "Age of Triumph" and will be released at the end of March.
3) The first reveal stream will be this Wednesday, March 8th, followed by two more streams on Wednesday each week leading to the update.
4) The first reveal stream picture is a picture of the entrance to Vault of Glass with a Minotaur in front of it.
5) The second reveal stream picture has some new symbols for the weekly activities. One has the House of Judgment symbol, and the other has the Darkness skull symbol.
6) The third reveal stream picture I don't know what it is a picture of.
So speculating...
a) We can probably assume that at least Vault of Glass will be coming back. Probably Crota's End too.
b) The two new weekly activity symbols... the House of Judgment one is probably a Prison of Elders activity... maybe a revamped Challenge of Elders? The Darkness skull activity I think might be a "Nightfall Raid", where they select one raid each week, and we do it on hard mode, but with nightfall modifiers, like burns, Chaff, Airborne, etc.
Thoughts?

EDIT 2: Just realized the new weekly activity with a Darkness symbol is the raid symbol. WEEKLY RAID?!?!
EDIT 3: Y'all need to listen. Everyone is freaking the -blam!- out that cosmetic stuff won't be going over (emblems, shaders, ships, sparrows). Did you ever stop and think maybe they have a BETTER system for this shit in Destiny 2? Maybe the shaders are mix and match and we can pick from a color wheel? Maybe we can design our own emblem? Maybe there is -blam!-ING SPACESHIP COMBAT and we can't use the cosmetic ships? Think about it. We don't know what the new features are. So chill the -blam!- out and wait and see.

1 RispondiThey are going to release a retrospective nostalgic review of destiny. They will begin to offer an engaging and beautiful universe with a bit of a clumsy story, then poison the whole thing with an unhealthy focus on PvP, then improve the story, but still make pvp a priority, and eventually have such an unhealthy sandbox that they have to scrap the whole thing and start over.

Just to clear things up. I'm confused, does the new content (raids and challenges) release on the 22nd or it is just a weapon/ sandbox fix? I mean I know they are going to announce it soon but I just want to be sure when they re-release it. I guess I'll wait til Wednesday to find out.

I hope that they actually create new areas for each expansion instead of having us go through the same areas but BACKWARDS.

I conjecture wildly the Raid symbols will be for something like "Complete all 4 Raids within say a week". There will be a emblem for doing it on Normal, then doing it on Hard mode and maybe some additional variants too (i.e complete all raids on hard mode in a day, complete all raids in a day with same team members and maybe complete one of the raids flawless). I suggested something like this (Raid Week) at least a year ago. The Raid marathon draw 6 people into an activity that due to BungleVisions having 2008ish Halo Era Peer to Peer one Console as Host network will mean they randomly fail because some one goes yellow or red bar and the Raid becomes a fecal storm of teleporting unkillable enemies and missed functions (platforms not forming, platforms not registering your on them, doors refusing to close etc.). So it will mean Bungie can have people running the raids for hours so they can bump up there Time Played numbers and perhaps some people might come back to run the Raids in a Day.

11 RisposteI hope something bad happens, like the tower getting trashed with hundreds of guardians dead. While on the floor all bloody and shot up the speaker gets you and takes you somewhere safe. Then gives you the bad news that everything that we worked so hard, is gone now. Many are truly dead, and the few that made it out are scattered now. We lost everything, and now we must regroup, arm ourselves to strike back. Reclaim what is ours guardian, the enemy has won this fight, but will come back, stronger, fiercer, and kill every single (insert enemy here), and we will have our city back!!! Or something like that.

I just had fun with my time with Destiny and I look forward to what's next. What do what is my Guardians to be honored. I want my legend to be respected and fully representative.
