Primaries are most balanced, except for scouts which are beat out by hand cannons all the time
Secondaries win at their respective areas, and when they patch side arms it will all be balances
And heavies... are heavies, they are all good
There's not even a specific subclass crushing the Crucible

A couple of observations... Heavies, were pretty much players choice anyway. Secondaries are now working more effectively but you can always tell when someone has been lucky enough to get Ice Breaker (after 2 months, running 2 NF's per week, I still don't have one). Primaries.... balanced as long as you have a hand cannon. AR's are more effective and have been my primary since I started in year 1 but in 6 games last night (all clash) roughly 80% of players were using Handcannons as they work best with the current "bouncy" style of play. Subclasses....... in those same 6 games I played a mix of all 3 classes... All but 1 titan was striker, all bar 2 hunters were Gunslingers (I played nightstalker) and all the warlocks (ALL) were voidwalkers... which I seem to recall everyone cried about being broken. I main a Warlock and haven't had any issues and I run void because it's still the most flexible outside of objectives and even on control it's as effective as stormcaller. Saw 1 bubble bro and 1 bladedancer. So in my experience, the subclasses are still not well represented.

5 RispostePrimaries are not balanced. How many autos and pulse rifles you see around?

1 RispondiModificato da WagglyGinger21: 2/26/2017 1:07:20 AMMy initial thoughts on this patch was that it was terrible but I'm warming up to it. Also I'm having more fun going in leroy Jenkins style with a shotgun now, can't do it as much but it's still fun. Also I wonder how much ptsd I'm giving people by running at them with a shotgun and juggernaut

I agree

I agree.

...lol is the only meta ya seen!
-
Look at all the kids coming to the forum to complain instead of actually playing the game
-
Go play a different game if you don't like the Destiny

You people are so sensitive
-
Probably not the best meta, but one of the best.. lots of intense side arm battles that I enjoy

Modificato da U12070628: 2/26/2017 7:55:34 AMHandcannons will beat anything that isn't at long range. Makes it really frustrating to use a scout, pulse or auto because map design. Plus autos and pulses have got their range nerfed a lot, so you have to be in close/mid where a handcannon will destroy you. I hope the handcannon users who were crying that autos will be op and take no skill after the update are happy. The special ammo breaking weapons are my main problem. This is no "primary" meta. If I try to use my primary, I get 1, 2, 3 grenades thrown at me, chased, and killed. Without a shotgun, it's hard to counter play chasers. All you can do is run and hope for the best...Or if I try to engage a gunfight, the guy jumps around the corner to spray me with a sidearm. Guy hardscoping with nlb or icebreaker. Invective isn't really a problem, and I haven't seen a uni yet. Autos are still meh. Bungie really could of done more then give them 1 extra point of damage. A range buff would be great to keep a distance from those handcannons and sidearms. Even if it was a primary meta, we are still going to be stuck in the handcannon/pulse rifle meta that's been going on since patch 1.1.1. LAME. Same weapon types, different guns.

I agree

The hardest balance is balancing the player feeling powerful and the weapons themselves being balanced. Right now they have the latter down ok but everyone feels like they're shooting cottonballs. I also dont believe in people fishing down ammo crates every minute, it really messes with the flow of things. But thats just me anyway

8 RisposteNlb meta? The joke weapon of year 1? Now the most used gun? Nah it's a boring meta. People continue to crutch with special loopholes

Modificato da feyndeath: 2/26/2017 5:38:04 AMBest meta but worst connections.... Player base shrinking= red bar warriors and nefarious connection manipulators are taking over!!!!!!! "And the red bars shall inherit the crucible". Armageddon is upon us!!!!!!

I've done about the same in all of them, but I've never really been critical of the crucible like some of you. When I play I just expect to die a lot and hopefully kill a little more than I die.

6 RisposteModificato da Hawpy: 2/26/2017 3:26:03 AMHoW meta was the best IMO. Sure, it was the peak for Thorn and TLW, Shot Package existed alongside Final Round Efrideet, but it was just more enjoyable. For every cheap trick or OP weapon the opposition had, you could just as easily get your hands on as many, or you could use whatever you liked without feeling (overly) punished for doing so. Primary weapons felt punchy and responsive, you actually got a sense of power from some of them. They were weapons that you'd want to use for most of a match. Special weapons were potent at their intended ranges, but at no point did you feel forced to use one particular special weapon to win. I really think that Sidearms are the only weapons in a significantly better place now than they were in HoW (partly because Vestian Dynasty was the only one to exist back then). I'd listen to cases for Auto Rifles, but for me, they're still too susceptible to special weapons to call it an improvement that makes them worth using. I still have memories of using my beloved Fang of Ir Yût and nothing has come close since the end of those times.

I read your title and was about to post how your are wrong since hand cannons beat out scouts but I see you already mentioned it.
-
Balanced? For me it's all hand cannons or nlb. Not much balance there.
-
oh yea starting out with 2 hand cannons is def the best meta
-
I agree. Not one weapon stands out right now. I do wish high ROF Handcannons had reduced bloom since they are crap compared to everything else.
-
Yea after they nerf no flinch beyond
Primaries are most balanced, except for scouts which are beat out by hand cannons all the time
Ehh, scouts are fine seeing as though they're intended for long ranges versus handcannons which are meant for close range. If scouts could compete with handcannons in close range and were the best choice for long ranges, there would be no reason to run a handcannon. Kinda the scenario from the beta if i remember correctly. Anyways my issue with the current state of primaries is the state of autos. They're still meh even in their intended range which is mid to close, meh to point that pulses dominate in that same spot and even pushing long ranges. I think autos either need more damage or a bit more base range. I'd suggest bumping the crit multiplier even more to at least reward the more accurate auto users.

If you had Vex Mythoclast when Vex Mythoclast ruled the crucible before Vex Mythoclast got nerfed into submission, then you already know the answer is...
#nerfTruth
