The sandbox team buff and nerf things in such bulk that it messes up the status quo of how crucible works.
I never agreed with others when they said incremental weapons tuning needed to be a thing, but after this stream. I agree 100%.
What I personally believe this sandbox team need to do are nerf/buff things incrementally, so we can be the testers, because if you watched the stream, you could see how awful they play. They are terrible at their own game so you can't be surprised that they destroy the balance when they themselves are incapable of playing competitively.
Thoughts?
Edit: Well, we're trending.
Edit 2: Member when he tried to put on 2 exotics? Oh I member
Edit 3: Shotgun PvE FTW though...

Don't go spamming that last word! You know, using it how it was meant to be used! you have to fire it slowly and pace your shots!
-
5 RisposteBlizzard is setting the standard for a balanced game. Yes there are some things that can be tweaked, but they get tweaked rather quickly after heavy testing and feedback. There are reworks or slight buffs and nerfs every couple weeks it seems. Bungie cannot afford to have drastic meta shifting patches every 4-6 months.
-
My take on it: Not only are they thumbless, but also brainless.
-
This update proves they don't know what they're anymore
-
Looking at this next 'balance' from the perspective of pre-nerf year1: all I see are a group of electricians fixing the plumbing AGAIN! I still will enjoy playing Destiny but that's about as seriously as I consider this game after 'balancing' began anyway. It's lost its way, there's no going back now, and, it has no future... Who really cares what they do with their game anyway?
-
Even better create a public test realm where players could test the new changes and give feedback back to bungie
-
Meta this meta that.... As I day one player it's getting tiring... They carrot is getting stale
-
Bungie has always been kind of idiotic, but this is wow
-
1 RispondiJust finished the stream. Was that supposed to be some kind of sick joke? From what I heard that they test there changes, yet their emotions cloud their judgment ( the hunter nerf ). Dev apparently play test the changes but can't aim. The only person that was getting head shot kills was one with the trespasser. the player with the golden gun died twice with a single kill lol. the devastating pop their super after half health don't they know that their easier to kill that way. My point is they need people that can get kills and not struggle testing their weapon patches/fixes.

5 Rispostebut guys they read reddit. they know exactly what the community wants....... if this update goes as bad as i think i will be done with destiny.
-
5 RisposteModificato da Optimus96: 2/9/2017 2:40:51 AM
incapable of playing competitively
I'm sorry, but this a very ignorant thing to say. This game is not a competitive shooter, nor will it ever be - if you want that kind of environment, then please play something else.
-
1 RispondiSeriously, do they think anything through? I was excited for an update, but now I fear for my fusion rifle fun...
-
sad thing is with D2 this far into development wouldnt be surprised if we only get maybe one more balance update
-
They should've left everything how it was and only changed the special ammo. Autos, hand cannon accuracy, and other pulse rifle archetypes needed a buff regardless.
-
Im sure theyd love to, unfortunately theres the small issue of economics. All those updates are pretty expensive.
-
4 RisposteWhere can I find the patch notes
-
2 RisposteJust because you can't perform or execute what it is you understand doesn't mean you all of the sudden don't understand lol. Hell by that logic players unable to perform well with things that aren't in the "meta" means they shouldn't have any say either lol. This has honestly never been a good argument to make.
-
One thing I feel should be said is that while you spend 5 hours a day every day playing they are building maintaining and trying to "improve" the game.
pvp is cancer bring the salt blizzard
-
2 RisposteSince its a console game and theyres no ptr balance will always be broken completely, you cant test things fully and know how itll work out without messing something up, but after the update you have to wait a long time to certify another update in the future.
-
They posted a list of nerfs and buffs?
-
True. They are terrible, they need to hire legit pvp testers that play crucible exclusively everyday aggressively. What a joke
-
It proofs that Bungie gives nothing about the real issues.
-
Hell yes its like you literally read my mind. They are so competitively inept they dont even know how to balance PVP.
-
5 RisposteI think they need to do this. More smaller rebalance patches at a real scheduled time. Like every 3-4 weeks. These updates are not large balance changes but definately affect the curent "meta". Keep things fresh while also balanced.
-
1 RispondiPart of the reason I love Overwatch is because of this. The playerbase gets a chance to play the changes before they are put in to the actual game and it makes for everything being balanced and fun. *For the most part* I really want bungie to do this. Their skills on stream were worse than below average. It was like a 3 year old child was holding the controller. I'm actually really upset with this patch about to come out. Yes some good things happened, but they failed to even touch some of the most broken and experience ruining issues currently in the game. Grow some eyes bungie, and some brains while your at it.
-
We need testing before they really "release the patch" because their playtesting is like we can't matador down blade so let's nerf it bc it's the worst super in the game
