The sandbox team buff and nerf things in such bulk that it messes up the status quo of how crucible works.
I never agreed with others when they said incremental weapons tuning needed to be a thing, but after this stream. I agree 100%.
What I personally believe this sandbox team need to do are nerf/buff things incrementally, so we can be the testers, because if you watched the stream, you could see how awful they play. They are terrible at their own game so you can't be surprised that they destroy the balance when they themselves are incapable of playing competitively.
Thoughts?
Edit: Well, we're trending.
Edit 2: Member when he tried to put on 2 exotics? Oh I member
Edit 3: Shotgun PvE FTW though...

Pffffft. At least they're finally doing something, even if it is almost half a year later. Anyone else playing Nioh? Damn that game is so good.
-
Haha they were pretty bad. Dude was using shinobu's and throwing trip mine grenades lol. I am excited for the patch. It is something different. If you love destiny you will adapt and continue to play the game

2 RisposteBoring...no Crimson Day :( no event? :/ ...boring again...
-
PvP will never be neutrally balanced. There are just too many variables to achieve that. I am not a big pvp player so I could care less. My concern is that this nerf/buff cycle is severely affecting PvE, and never in a good way! They need to get this figured out for D2.
-
Well, I don't care as I'm sick of this meta. I've got some really good rolls on auto rifles and pulse rifles (not high rof) that I've been wanting to use and now I can.
But I also prefer my primary so I realize why most people are salty
-
3 RisposteI am most excited about last word. I bet you bloom still screws it over. because you're "supposed to pace your shots!"
-
3 RisposteI'd be happy with monthly changing just to keep the crucible weapon variety on its toes. Also yes they were ridiculously bad at playing. Even the other four who Deej said were their crucible elite....... really Deej...... really?
-
Players: Bungie, Hand Cannons have sucked for a long time, remove bloom and just add damage falloff Bungie: We hear you, but what we're actually going to do is nerf HC range again and leave bloom in What an actual f**king joke this is lmao, the only "good" thing about this update is the high impact pulse buff and maybe the AR buff... So two good things out of an hour long stream... K

They know exactly what they are doing.
-
6 RisposteDestiny isn't a competitive game. It's a game which is meant to be fun. Not be analed by shotguns every second.
-
Bungo's sandbox team should be terminated I hoped this patch would get me to play the game again but clearly I was wrong. Also I main a warlock and am absolutely disgusted by the way bungie shafted blade dancers. How are these guys still employed I've seen people in the forums with better decision making skills smh.
-
2 RisposteImo everyone should wait till the update and see how these changes actually feel in the game and stop assuming. You may be suprised.
-
Can't help but agree with you here...truthfully, the only things I really gleaned from it was : Their Memory is terrible. They're pretty shabby in the Crucible and the Devs even admitted that they're shit at Maths… surely that's a prerequisite to being a games developer? About as transparent as Fog, but we'll all have to wait and see won't we

4 Rispostehttps://youtu.be/C0gzJJ4rzvY Gameplay starts around 42:38. They SUCK.

Who cares what they tweek buff or nerf. If they don't get their crap straightened for destiny 2 none of them will have a job. This game had unlimited potential then they let bean counters and marketing idiots take over. Destiny is a ship sinking fast. They have one chance left.

4 RisposteJon Weirznewski admitted a year ago in a podcast interview that he argues against the data his team brings him (they were trying to prove that bladedancers needed a buff and he said no) Same interview he acknowledged that the reason fusions were kept weak for so long was that one guy on the small playtest team slayed with Plan C. Use the data! Better yet, do an open beta server for two weeks of testing prior to roll out of any new re-balance! I swear, I love this game, but I've never seen a company have this much trouble balancing their own game three years after launch. I've never seen a FPS struggle so much with how to balance a silly shotgun?!?
-
5 RisposteLet COD focus on PvP.
-
4 RisposteIt also proves that Cozmo brought his reddit bias fully to the table. Unsurprisingly, the only group that seem happy with the changes are Destiny Reddit Its been obvious for years that Reddit is there main source of influence
-
3 RisposteThis is why pc games have it better than console. 3 letters. PTS. Giving gamers a public test server is how things get patched by people who actually play games unlike bungie. (Im cyrrently saving for a newer pc to handle new games) and i wanted destiny to be on pc even though i wouldve have been able to play it and rly hope destiny 2 does come to pc

6 RisposteThey were trying to show the viewers the differences that the upcoming changes were going to make in the game world. They weren't trying to win. That was just some casual gameplay at work to showcase what they've been working on.
-
I will stick to raiding unstead of this
-
Im just waiting for the new meta.

6 RisposteModificato da Black_Widow503: 2/9/2017 3:32:04 AMTldr: Open a crucible beta game mode into the crucible playlists. Maybe the risk outweighs the reward but what if it didn't? Exactly and here's some food for thought! Their test lab is basically irrelevant to the rest of the population because their connections are going to be on point the whole time. Aren't they? Did they experience any latency problems between each other? With latency in the mix opinions can change real fast. They should open up a crucible playlist that is used for scientific purposes of the game. Then we can actually tell how those changes will fare in the "real" Destiny population. This is just an idea but could be totally wrong don't take it to heart please. Put the playlist in DESTINY and ask players to participate in it to make Destiny the best it can be. Participate for Destiny science. You could even open it up on a timed event each month. They could see how their test lab numbers compare with the rest of the population who play everyday. They obviously have the tools to collect data from the playerbase. Isn't there a possibility that people who play daily or have played often have a better idea into the reality in DESTINY? You could warn people things could change any moment while playing this mode, player discretion is advised. Take people's thoughts and opinions through chat (not sure if this part is legal) and actually take some data numbers from these games. Accuracy info and numbers, connection info numbers, their own test lab numbers. Connections would be all over the place so it would be more accurate in Destiny's "real life". The data in the experimental playlist, or call it a beta playlist, could be very useful IMO. I'd be so down to participate if it gave them better insight into the Destiny population and gaming experiences. Maybe their just isn't the resources to do this though. Or maybe there's a better way to do this than what I have said here. Are they spreading themselves too thin? I don't know what happens behind the scenes at Bungie. I can only base my opinion of them off what I know about them and what they tell us is true. I base my opinion of the game on my personal experiences in this game, and what my friends have told me their opinion was. They don't even come to these forums to share their opinion, but I can see my friends list has disappeared and they don't log into Destiny anymore and they told me why. I can kind of see how the people here know more about their game than they do. Because it seems they play it more than them idk! Speculation. Imagine all the people's opinions on these forums and Reddit's, now add all their friends' opinions into the mix. You are who you hang out with. And why don't they believe the forums and Reddit could represent more of the Destiny community than they think? Excuse my thoughts being all over the place. Edit: I forgot to mention I have 3 ps4's in my house with 2 other people that play Destiny, and they have friends lists too with opinions of their own. They've since told me what they think. Also have family that play Destiny out of the house. That's a big circle of friends and family.

3 RisposteTo be fair some of the changes were just pure bull sh€t. They could've brought shotguns down a bit and buffed sidearms, snipers, and fusions. And it's gonna be a hand cannon meta, I'll call it now.
Quite happy with the low rof auto buff though
