The sandbox team buff and nerf things in such bulk that it messes up the status quo of how crucible works.
I never agreed with others when they said incremental weapons tuning needed to be a thing, but after this stream. I agree 100%.
What I personally believe this sandbox team need to do are nerf/buff things incrementally, so we can be the testers, because if you watched the stream, you could see how awful they play. They are terrible at their own game so you can't be surprised that they destroy the balance when they themselves are incapable of playing competitively.
Thoughts?
Edit: Well, we're trending.
Edit 2: Member when he tried to put on 2 exotics? Oh I member
Edit 3: Shotgun PvE FTW though...

8 RisposteMy favorite part is when Deej tells them to go to tree, and one of the guys turn right into a wall. I then knew this wasn't going to work lol.
-
If they didn't do such a mass nerfing/buffing they wouldn't have to do so damn many. I feel as though we are practically going back to what year one was with a little glitter on the weapons (glitter meaning slight differences in the performance but overall weapon archetypes tiered similar to year one)

1 RispondiI main a warlock Voidwalker so I can sincerely ask this question? I don't understand the bladedancer nerf? Bladedancers are easy to kill mid-super. As a matter of fact hunters in general are easy to kill mid-super so why the nerf?
-
Yup. Bungie employees have lost any credence that they had when it comes to understanding their community and the PVP dynamic..nerfing blade dancers?????? What the actual ****

Thumbs down for your "we're trending comment".

I'm Banshee 44, and I'm the Tower's Gunsmith. I work here with my old friend Cayde 6 and his ghost, Big Ghoss. Everything in here has a story and a price. One thing I've learned after 44 resets - you never know what gun is gonna get nerfed or buffed. My apologies Guardians, I was requested by the Vanguard to nerf and buff some weapons. I tried to protest but it didn't work. I should of listened to Big Ghoss's warnings.

Pretty much everyone wanted primaries buffed and/or fixed (handcannons) so that they would be more competitive with secondaries. So, what did bungie do? Nerf secondaries. It's this philosophy of nerf rather than buff that they have followed throughout the game's history. It's also what has led to the game being slower and slower over time. I ask you, if fewer people want to play your game because it's old and you can't be bothered to update it more than once a year, does it make sense to make the game slower paced and consequently less fun?

2 RisposteWhere's the patch notes?
-
It proves that they have no idea what they are doing anymore and they really don't care because of Destiny 2.
-
Your right, but that's not going to change they're minds. They might think about doing that for destiny 2 though.

PvP is really a unbalanced mess always

My load out is gonna be mida/shotgun or Shotgun/shotgun. Lets get it!

2 RisposteThe following is crystal clear: 1. They have limited resources to adjust weapon balance. 2. They did not need to do a stream to announce these very silly changes. 3. They absolutely did not listen to the community and proceeded to nerf instead of buff. 4. They barely play their own game. I guess it's like being a male gynecologist. You see vagina all day long and the last thing you want to do is see another vagina when you get home (unless you're a pervert.) No special ammo when you die? Ahahahahaha. Yep, this will go over nicely for the team stays alive and be an absolute nightmare for players that die. Wow, just wow. - shakes head in disbelief. 5. Clear evidence that accuracy will continue to have an element of RNG. This one is by far the most ass backwards thinking and the one reason that causes frustration among the community. It's like saying "Hi guardians we know your aim was true and the bullet should go exactly where you pointed your reticle. We have the technology to make that happen, especially on a p2p connection but we added code to do the opposite because well, fück it. (Bloom, damage fall off) Much love.

They were really bad.

19 RisposteNonsense. I love the changes. learn to use your primary.

10 RisposteModificato da Hiei Vegeta: 2/9/2017 3:41:40 PMNothing has even happened yet and people are already complaining
-
Developers are rarely good at their own games actually. Why? They spend all their time developing and not playing. Can't git gud at a game if you never play it. And you can't really fault them for listening to the community I think that is a great practice
-
5 Rispostewell what everyone miss is that Bungie have top tier players as their testers. so if you think that these people are the whole testing crew then sorry about that.
-
Modificato da PvtBadass98: 2/9/2017 4:06:55 PMNot only that, one of them said they don't want primaries to crap on specials like the matador craps on primaries. 1. We want primaries to crap on specials so they become your primary weapon. 2. All primaries crap on snipers because of the flinch. So they didn't listen to the community and didn't even fulfill what they wanted to do.
-
They need to grab local players who don't suck so they can do the testing...just saying.
-
Should be ongoing thing with constant tweaks to stuff. They shouldn't be afraid to implement something and then revert if needed. They are the pilots/drivers of how it goes/plays week to week. Not this 6-9 months massive overhaul of nerfs and buffs. They don't like one thing then change it on the fly. They do this garbage to change how it plays across the board to keep it feeling fresh. It's an artificial way of creating depth and keep players playing, which is a joke. If they want "seasons" then add -blam!-ing seasonal rewards and leader boards.
-
Pffffft. At least they're finally doing something, even if it is almost half a year later. Anyone else playing Nioh? Damn that game is so good.
