After playing Titanfall 2 and Battlefield 1, I realized Destiny pvp needs to be seriously looked at.
Everything was on sale this weekend, so I bought a few shooters. While I get the difference between the three, it felt great to see how crisp shooting your weapons can be. I enjoyed seeing all of my bullets connects despite the weapon I was using. There was no bloom or ghost bullets.
Playing games without lag was rewarding. I wasn't killed by an invisible stormcaller, like in the video I provided.
I've stuck around for the longest time with Destiny because my friends kept me coming back. I also told myself that Bungie would eventually fix things. They haven't balanced out anything. I think everything is over nerfed, and I hate how you could be unloading a clip at a shotgunner and still fail to kill him before he closes the gap. The weapons in the game need to do a little more body damage. Auto-rifles need to be looked at.
I guess this is a good time to leave Destiny. After srl, Bungie won't provide us with much more content because their focus is going into Destiny 2, which mean things are going to stay as they are. Although, it would be wiser for Bungie to fix thing before they release a new title. If players are left with a bad taste of Destiny, they may not want to buy the next installment. I also feel the srl is going to be Bungie's next cash grab. A lot of content will be locked behind random reward purchases, like in Festival of the Lost. Last year you could get all of the mask simply by playing the game and turning in your candy bags. This years, you couldn't. If the game didn't reward you with the mask you wanted, you had to pay to hopefully get it.

1 RispondiThere are 100s of weapon combinations balancing pvp is damn near impossible. Deal with the meta and enjoy. Or play destiny for pve. Nightfall and raid.

Destiny is a nearly 3 year old game that was originally designed to run on XB 360 and PS3...and was ported over to XB 1/ PS 4. Battlefield 1 and TF 2 are brand new games with engines and networking specifically designed for XB 1 and PS 4....with allowances for the even more powerful consoles both companies are coming out with. 2. BF1 and TF 2 use dedicated servers which requires less bandwith than the P2P networking that Destiny uses. The vast majority of the problems you're talking about aren't do to the game's engine or due to matchmaking. They are due to people: Playing with shitty, laggy internet; people having to share internet access and causing wide variations in bandwith and transmission quality (streaming Netflix while playing online); or people simply cheating at the game. 3. This is the Battlefield franchise's THIRD game on this generation of consoles. TF 2 is Respawns second. This is still Bungie's FIRST. They have only been able to tweak the game's orginal engine and features....and only to the degree that didn't risk BREAKING the game even worse. Moreover, we are playing a game that was supposed to have already been retired and replaced by now. But the release of Destiny 2 has been pushed back (TO MAKE IT BETTER), and Rise of Iron was content that was developed and brought to market in about half the time that DLC/expansions of a AAA game normally have to work with. 4. BF and Titanfall are established franchises working from LONG established and refined formulas. Destiny is a ground-breaking game that is trying to combine an MMO, and action-RPG and a FPS in ways that no other game has really done before. They are CREATING this game...and creating this game genre AS THEY GO....and learning how to manage the RPG side of things, on the job. There is no "formula" on how to do this that can be referred to. Because they are in the process of CREATING what will be the formula that future games follow. I, for one, realized this when I signed on to play this game. That a lot of my time would be involved in watching Bungie make mistakes and learn from them. That I would be teaching Bungie HOW to make and manage a game like this. Not everyone realized this...and not everyone has the temperament for it. But lets keep the comparisons FAIR...and comparing BF1 and TF2s cutting-edge design, to Destiny's game engine that is probably now pushing 6 years old, and was supposed to have been put out to pasture by now....isn't fair.

Join the club dude Nerfstiny PvP and overall balance is the worst I've seen on any game in years. Not to mention despite Bungie saying they wouldn't bring RIFT back into Iron Lagger, or at least 'heavily implying they wouldn't', they still did.

8 RisposteDestiny has been out for 2 years. It's not new. All the games you just listed have much bigger teams and are newer. There are like 16 people working on destiny while everybody else works on destiny 2

I agree I stoped playing destiny a while ago I've been playing overwatch Star Wars battlefront and after a free weekend for elder scrolls online my friends and I are getting that too I only play destiny now when my friends need help with raids or messing around in trials. Destiny is dead let's face it hopefully destiny 2 will be worth the wait I'm buying it no matter what even if it's just to laugh at it

Just give up on the game and move to better things like bf 1, dark souls 3, fallout 4, Skyrim se etc. There a much better use of your time.

8 RisposteTF2 is good but for me it has no wow factor. Can't see myself playing it for much longer. As bad as the balance in destiny is, it spoiled me to have all these different types of guns and movement mechanics. I LOVE TITAN SKATING. I just ordered Infinite Warfare. Heard a lot of bad reviews but I don't really care. I haven't played cod since modern warfare 2, so I'm going in with a completely fresh perspective. Most people that hate it are the ones that played every single iteration of COD and won't adapt to the changes.

Nice post. Have to agree. My motivation currently is, to improve as a pvp player and bring my friend to the lighthouse finally! Also T12 is a thing now. I feel, that balance is really good though. I started playing shotgun 3 weeks ago and got pretty good with it. But still i find myself switching to sniper and fusion very often, because a shotgun really has strong Limits. Autorifles ABSOLUTELY NEED to be buffed by at least 10% for the slower firing ones, no doubt. The main other thing, that i would absolutely want bungie to change, is that titans are the fastest and most mobile class in the game. I main a shadestep Hunter, but Titans are simply faster (and with twilight garrison) much more mobile while also having shouldercharge or juggernaut which is just stupidly overpowered in Trials for instance. I really wish, that bungie makes titans slower if they keep them that powerful (i feel, that would be the right move). Or reduce the power of the jug-shield in any way. Strats that are not-counterable in most scenarios need to be looked at. And befor all you start hating on shadestep: remember, Hunters have to choose between shadestep and mobility that only almost equals titans (bones of eao). Titans have that mobility already built in. That makes NO Sense!

I'm going to support bungie up till destiny 2, if they've showed improvement ill stick around for the year. But if D2 is like D1, ill be forced to stop supporting. I had lots of good memories with this game, but I'm not going to continue to spend time nor money on an unbalanced/watered down/not fun, environment. That's not why I play bungie games

I bought TitanFall 2 to get away from the crap that Destiny had become. I only came back because a friend asked me to help them with a quest Strike. It's my understanding that Bungie has swung the "ban hammer", and it seems that the most egregious tea-bagging cheaters are gone for now. However, Destiny's PvP is still a complete joke.... It still remains, show me a RED bar connection and I'll show you the winner of the match. TitanFall 2's multiplayer makes Destiny's PvP look like the kiddie's pool....

Yeah I'd say this sums it up for me too as I've stopped playing all together except for the occasional private match. I've been playing MW Remastered and some Titanfall 2. It's refreshing to play a shooter with little lag at 60 fps. I played a Destiny private match with friends after playing MW for a while and it was really hard on the eyes visually. Destiny feels slow and ancient at 30 fps. It's also refreshing to not play the same people over and over again in PvP in a game that millions of people bought. What finally did me in was Bunghole's interactions with community during the SBMM forum barrage. So I'm done. Certainly not spending money on D2 if they're gonna continue to deal with the community like they have thus far.

8 RisposteBump. Feel like I could have written this post. For me, a break rom Destiny, and taking time with Titanfall 2, BF1, and CoD: Infinite Warfare, has been refreshing and enjoyable. These games are setting the bar ever-higher for FPSs: engaging campaigns, excellent all-around PvP. It'll be interesting to see whether Bungie can produce a top-tier shooter with Destiny 2.

BF1 puts destiny to absolute shame. Hell the story in BF1 is better than the story in destiny and the multiplayer isn't even in the same dimension it is so much better.
