Your TWAB this week has some outright lies in it.
And its obvious to the community it does. Lets go down, section by section.
“First we identify a pool of available players with good connection to you”
-Oh really? Is that why there are multiple red bar warriors in every game
“if THAT doesn’t work, we expand the search again with more variance in connection quality”
-While I absolutely believe it, I don’t believe it’s the third criteria. It’s the second. I live in the northeast united states. At peak times, I should have no problem finding a 3v3 game or 6v6 game on great connection to people in the eastern united states. My netduma routinely tells me half of the players in my game well outside of 2500 miles from me with average pings over 200.
“Why are you teaming me up with weaker teammates?”
-You missed the entire second half, and the point, of this question: why are you giving me weaker teammates and super strong opponents, ensuring a loss? It isn’t a happenstance occurrence, its often.
“Do you try to force players into a 50% win/loss ratio? Nope.”
-Outright lie. First of all, several of your developers have gone on record saying the goal is to have us at a 50% W/L ration. Secondly, we need only look at our stats. I sit almost exclusively at a 50% ratio, and I suspect majority of players who solo queue often do as well. Obviously if you play exclusively on a team and you are a strong team, the game matchmaker can only go so far. But this response is an outright lie.
"Why can’t I just relax and enjoy some matches with my friends?”
Way to add on “with my friends” so you could justify an answer. Sure, Private matches awesome when I’ve actually got 5 friends or more online. It really supplied a niche group of players with content. Bravo. But your response is again not in spirit with the actual issue and soars leaps and bounds above the overwhelming masses. We want to be able to QUEUE up and relax for a couple games after work or school and not have to put a huge amount of work into doing so.
Its time to listen to your player base bungie. Stop lying to us. Start listening. Many players have moved on to other games and I guarantee you, if this stuff isn’t fixed soon, and certainly if it persists to D2, you may find yourself with a player base smaller than no mans sky.

10 RisposteJust stop playing people. I know you have other games to play. If you complain about Matchmaking and yet, Bungie always sees and knows you will just keep logging in and playing matches, they have no incentive to fix this. Throwing salt on here and still logging in DOES NOTHING. Speak with how you spend your free time gaming. Protest Bungie by not playing their game.
-
Outright lies? Do you have their code, are you able to see how it works, could you even understand it if you did? You have absolutely no understanding of networking whatsoever. I have played games on dedicated servers and seen the same sort of crap that happens here on Destiny. I play private crucible against players that are all in the same town as me, all of us have 25/5 NBN (fibre to the node) the only thing that differs is our ISP and we still get connection issues, that's something that is outside Bungie's control. They aren't actively making teams to influence a win/loss of 50% it just seems that way because of how they allot teams based on Bungie's skill score. If your fireteam is flogging people they try and put you against others that have a solid chance against you, the rest comes down to some people having an accidental better team.

2 RisposteModificato da bFLY: 11/19/2016 12:26:00 AMWhat if they aren't lying? Just a thought. I'm not by any means a big destiny fan. It's fun most of the time but there are many other games that take me away from it. I'm just trying to get people to think outside their anger for a second. Everyone is complaining about sbmm, and Bungie is telling you it isn't being used. Of course there will be red bars, you can't totally stop that. I've played enough crucible and pvp from other games like halo and cod and Gears to tell you that 90% of my connection issues came from my own shitty Internet regardless of sbmm or cbmm. Red bars will still exist. Bungie might actually be telling the truth. This game has its issues, but in this instance I'm inclined to believe them. Their cbmm may not be working as it should, but it's still cbmm and not sbmm, so they are telling the truth, but their system is just broken. Just a thought.

Modificato da Spaceman: 11/19/2016 2:57:15 AMNo one in this player base is asking for games against weaker opponents. If that's the case, you're just a pussyfoot scrub who jollys off on beating up noobs. I've played since day 1 and the honest truth is that Crucible is competitive. There hasn't been 1 game where someone wasn't trying to rip my head off. If you want cheese and casual play, go on patrol. Don't go into Crucible! Now that that is out of the way... SBMM is needed. Fireteams need to be teamed with fireteams. Matching fireteams based on averages of all the players. Every fireteam should have a "joint" skill score to match to other equally teamed fireteams. Solo players need to be matched against other similar skilled players. The spectrum as to how wide the skill gap can be up for debate. But widening the scope to match based on connection should never happen. You should widen the scope to match based on skill. All 12 players should have a similar connection matching. Now that all that is out of the way, lets look at the other side. I don't care if you have super internet and get matched to everyone in your same city with super internet... all it takes is 1 person to manipulate their bandwidth during the game. This can easily be done. So red bar warriors are not always based on distance. Another thing... fireteams are a huge problem. What do you do when people team with huge scopes in skill and connection distances? Let me guess, you come here and blame Bungie. Bottom line, a lot can be manipulated easily, so relax... and if you want noobs to kill, you're a douche.

10 RisposteThey aren't lying, the only person that's lying is you with your lack of ability to comprehend what Bungie initially said in the first place, I'll give you another go at reading what they said before I absolutely destroy your post. Time starts now
-
2 RisposteWhile i dont think they're outright lying, I'm positive they left out some details. Back when i was able to actually play with my 8 year old son (havent been able to for quite some time due to the local fireteam issue) I would absolutely be put against players with a dramatically lower skillset. So I dont think the "skill" factor in their matchmaking is nearly as insignificant as they try to make it seem.

Bungie has fed continuous lies to the community since launch. Why only now question it on a large scale? I would say you should all take this as an opportunity to see bungie as what they've always been. Just stop playing and dont pre-order till they have a proper working title. The only issue i guess at this end would be the lengths it would take to properly test the next expansion or destiny 2 would be so extensive people are gonna care and buy it anyway blindly...

1 RispondiI don't know why they would try to get everyone to have a 50/50 win loss ratio. I mostly play pvp solo, and I like any 6v6 match type. My w/l ratio is pathetic. KD is ok, but I lose most games
-
1 RispondiModificato da turdferguson00: 11/19/2016 1:34:01 AMI'm inclined to believe them.. but what they won't tell you is this.. That dude 2500mi away probably was one of the better connections available at that moment. With bf1, Titan fall and cod all releasing, gotta figure a huge chunk of the player pool is off playing something else.. Or were already in a match.. perhaps they need to loosen up the wait restrictions in an effort to get you that better match
-
You have to have a full party, quit, then rejoin, but I understand the frustration.
-
Whyyyy you always lyyyyyiin~
-
1 RispondiI don't care about playing against people above my skill level, I just want to play with my friends without them getting absolutely shit on and they end up having a horrible time.
-
That moment when Bungie tell us how matchmaking works but the community is too damn ignorant to accept it so they it's lies
-
3 RisposteThe 50% win thing is definitely a lie. One game nothing registers and people are faster than you, the next (not literally) everything you do is perfection and all shots land before the enemy player even sees you.

I have a pretty good gaming memory. It was around December of year one, the connections in pvp started to go down hill. I never had any issues before that, but around the dark below release date, connections got wonky and have only gotten worse. This coming from someone who use to love and play the shit out of pvp.

Check wish you lucks video. It hits the nail in the coffin.

Modificato da Scott__67: 11/18/2016 11:42:42 PMI'm playing crucible right now and it's a total shitfest...red bars in every game..there advice for a better connection means f#ck- all when they hit you with this shit.
-
1 RispondiEverything is on cruise control now till Destiny 2. Bungie is a bunch of lazy ass developers, that don't listen to complaints from hardcore fans. They only listen to try-hards. Yea try hards will have a great time playing in Crucible. But for an average player who is close to 1 kd, will get matched with players of 1-2 KD. Makes perfect sense.
-
my pvp performance in year one was way more consistent we all just need to abandon this game until they fix it.
-
If this was Reddit you'd be getting gold from me right now sir. The way they left out or slightly modified those two issues (weak teammates and playing with friends) was spot on and my exact thoughts when I read them in their initial post. Nicely put.

2 RisposteI'm sorry but I doubt they're lying about how the game finds you a match. What I quickly read in your post is basically what happens in every game. Game try's matching you with the best connections possible first, if no ones found in a few moments it moves on to lower pings, and lower pings, and lower pings. It's been a fairly standard matchmaking system for a long time now. Now them maybe taking that and adding SBMM could really -blam!- it all up but I don't know how many people in your area are far better and far worse then you. That being said bungie has done some stupid shit, guess they're trying to change that but the mistakes weren't hard to avoid in the first place
-
2 RisposteI'm thinking bungie deserves a big ole Cleveland steamer
-
I'm mostly pve but I can agree with the pvp base. That was bullshit. They don't even care how blatant the lies are now. I don't PVP regularly and I've seen first hand through limited playtime all these claims they are making being false. Another developer should look at what bungie have done with this game and improve it, shouldn't be that hard and providing they actually listen to their player base they will sell shitloads of it. This game could have been amazing. And at times it is but it's mostly down to the community and guardians I've came across that have made this game what it is for me. Not bungies meddling.
