Ok my fellow guardians I have a request
STOP LYING
Ever since VOG we have dealt with the raid lies. If you don't know what you're doing in the raid just say so. How many times has a guardian come into the raid saying they know what they are doing???? Only to find out the don't. Please stop wasting our time. If you don't know just say so we will walk you through the mechanics.
I'm still stuck on Aksis part 2 because this year multiple guardians have high light levels. So we assume they did the raid. They say they know how to do the raid. Only to find out that they only "watched a video".
So please stop lying. Please stop wasting our time. Just be honest. We will help you or if we are pressed for time we won't. But just be honest.

10 RisposteThat's happened to me every time I've run this raid. And I'm with you, just tell us and will walk you through it. It's when you've wiped a few times and realize it's because someone is clueless that you get mad. My last run we were at Aksis part 1, four wipes later we hear "ohhh Null is void" coming from the guy holding the void cannon. SMH I don't like being that guy who asks to see raid emblems but it's really getting to that point. We usually make a point of grabbing at least one person who has never done it before to teach them, more people that know the easier it is to find a team. But we don't like spending all night either so we like to have the rest of the team with at least one raid under their belt.

What do you expect? The raid has become so elitist that its ridiculous. I lied for my first half run and ended up trying to teach people simple raid mechanics. Found out two guys had never done VOG or CE. These same people were the ones wanting "experienced players..." You get booted for so many things like: If your light level isnt max. If you lack certain weapons/gear. If you havent completed the raid. If you havent completed some arbitrary number of raids thats different for every person. If your grimoire is low. If you dont have a certain emblem. If you havent gone flawless. If you dont main a class they want. And the list goes on. So dont get mad at people for lying when the community as a whole has become toxic. I know most joke about this stuff but it actually happens. Its happened to me and ive seen it happen to others. I miss the old raid days when requirements werent considered or maybe one guy had to be a certain class or have a ghally in the whole team. Now its just awful to find a group randomly.

Sadly folks lie because of the folks demanding unreasonable things. The number of folks willing to teach raids has dropped even more than the number of folks bothering with the raids in the first place. I did VOG once 2 years ago, i'd never be able to remember half of it now even though i need it for an exotic. Crota i pretty much remember as i ran it insane amounts.

9 RisposteThe problem is that many are afraid to admit that they don't know what to do? Why? Because most Raiders say experience is a must. So if they say they haven't done it they don't get in the group. Or if they admit it they get booted. This community (not all) has created this the last 2+ years but having these outlandish raid requirements and refusing to help people. Everyone has a right to build a group the way they see fit. But this is why this happens. People fear admitting they don't have experience or they may never get in a raid group.

I always say I have little raid experience then kick back and enjoy the ride. Unless I need to clutch it for some reason.

Second run NO wipes 3rd run NO wipes. Then iv had nothing to do on destiny for a week. I'd still prefer fast runs like that. Over trying All week.

Except people are more likely to kick someone than hold their hand and guide them. Just look at all the demands people have on LFG. That doesn't give a newcomer any confidence that they can jump in and have a go. Having said that, I don't know what the people who whinge about not being able to find a group are on about. I posted an lfg stating clearly in the headline and body of the post that it was my first time and the group was full in five minutes.

I love doing the raids with my friends, I was a little disappointed by this raid because I feel it's a bit too short & a bit too easy but that's just me. Don't get me wrong I still love it and cannot wait for hard mode tomorrow . We've had it when posting for one who says they know what to do and that, only for them to ask what to do five minutes later. You have to laugh I just don't get why some people do that, with this raid if one or two go down you can recover it's definitely a lot more forgiving over kings fall.

Even from the first week VoG came out numerous players asked for people who have completed the raid already or "know what to do" it was so bad in the VoG, Crota's End days that you would not be invited and you would be kicked if you got to a part you didn't know. This forced players who have never had the chance to raid to lie to get that chance. Unfortunately most people are ass holes with no patience, do not want to help and will kick immediately if they find out you don't know the raid. Luckily I have also noticed an increase in the amount of people willing to given new raiders a chance as long as they don't continuously -blam!- up so there is hope. ( I should say once in the raid. There is a decrease in people taking honest players who have yet to complete the raid but that always happens at the launch of s new raid.)

Ran the raid today with a couple 365s. Wiped 5 times at priest, thrice at zamboni, and 10+ at aksis. So, I left. Joined a group of 377+ and finished Aksis in one go. The raid is not hard. Seriousely people.

I love it when people say they need to be 385 when you have done it and your 370-375, so they won't accept you because you don't have hours of time farming and you can only do the raid. When most people who hit 385 hit it because they did the omnigul farm or some other one. It's so AWESOME!! (Hating life)
