I miss enjoying Destiny.
Its been 3 years and allot has changed.
I haven't played RoI and I'm not planning too, but I miss the old days.
Year 1 was beautiful in its simplicity. It wasn't much, but what We did with that what we had was so much more fun than all the stuff we have now, honestly.
Maybe its the infusion stuff that made Me quit, adding [i]allot[/i] more grind to the game.
Maybe its that nobody plays anymore.
But I just miss coming back from work or school or w/e and loging in and do the daily bounties with a friendo, gathering 4 others to do VoG for the week.
Then switching characters for that exotic chest.
I miss loging in on tuesday and playing Iron Banner and playing for high end rewards, not an empty shell that you need to fill with other stuff just to have you play more.
I miss going on patrol just to gather matts to upgrade my Kabrs Battlecage.
Those were the days. Now maybe I'm just being "that guy" like oh it used to be better.
Destiny isn't necessarily a better game, but why couldn't we just have a game like how it was in Vanilla and TDB and How?

More sources than ever before offer paths to max light Iron Banner doesnt require you to spend all week in the crucible to hit rank 5, and drops are no longer as rare as unicorn shite Motes of Light can be spent to insta-level gear Legendary engrams are [i]way[/i] more common now than in year 1 What on earth are you smoking??

People only miss yr1 because it was obviously the first experience of the game they had, but you'd be lying to yourself if you say the life of Destiny isn't better since TTK.

1 RispondiTake a break. I was bored of Destiny a few weeks after Taken King, and stopped playing completely. Saw the Rise of Iron trailers and thought to myself that I was not going to buy it, but somehow it seemed fun again, so I bought it and now I'm enjoying the game again.

1 RispondiNew expansion killed the solo gamer as everything is too hard without a fireteam. Pvp and iron banner aight, but can't get high light to compete. Too grindy for the solo guy and when you 3 years in your bout burnt out by now

Take a really long break. I'm still on my break right now, and it's been a good 4 months (except two times when my friends really wanted me to play crucible with them). I'm planning on staying on my break until summer time. You'll feel refreshed and enlightened, and the game will be even more fun. At least that's how it has been with me.

7 Risposte1) Infusion (post April update anyway) took a lot of grind out of the game and let people use any gear they want, instead of just raid and Iron Banner gear. 2) Lots of people still play, and the game's been out since 2014, we're lucky we still have a high playerbase. 3) Substitute VoG for WotM or KF and you have current destiny. Also, I'm glad we don't have to spend about half an hour switching characters for a chest that probably won't drop an exotic anyway, and doing bounties with a friend is even more possible, if not better now due to Shiro-4's and Shaxx's weekly bounties. 4) You didn't play vanilla Iron Banner hoping for rewards, because they never dropped, and you especially didn't play it on a Tuesday because of Tempered. Also, there's more to log in for on a Tuesday now due to weekly Treasures, weekly bounties, weekly raid challenges, weekly nightfall etc. Also, if you're not enjoying yourself, you only have your own addiction to blame for "forcing you to play". 5) I really don't miss not being able to Nightfall with your friends because you need to spend three hours farming shitty patrols for materials so you can finally upgrade a gear and go up a notch in the broken pre-TTK light system. Destiny is a better game in almost every way compared to Year 1, whether you like it or not, and you only have yourself to blame for burning yourself out. People who keep shilling Year 1 need to remember things like terrible missions, repetitive strikes, broken Crucible metas, broken light level systems, no gun variance, no armour variance and so on. Nostalgia for Year 1 is retarded; move on.
