He sells three of coins for exotics so why not skeleton keys for strike specific loot
Edit 1: or increase drop rate for skeleton keys
Edit 2: xur probably shouldn't sell them but they should increase drop rate

6 RisposteWhile on the surface, this sounds good but NO! If all materials were sold through vendors, everybody would be done with this game within two weeks! You get a better chance of getting s/keys on 320 siva strikes & as for e/shards, Xur has them every weekend in the form of e/armor. (Dismantle) and or replace higher light exotics with your lower light. Then you can dismantle your maxed ones for TWO SHARDS.
-
If they were like 20 strange coins a couple of legendary marks and maybe 1 or2 exotic shards or a legendary engram yea.
-
Yeah that would be nice if he sold a "3oC" consumable you used before beating a boss or a booster that increases drop rates for 1-2 hours.

It does seem counter intuitive to say that skeleton keys should make it easier to get strike specific loot, and then make the skeleton keys as rare as the strike specific loot drop used to be. Having Xur sell them would not be the answer though. Unless maybe they make something similar to 3 of coins, that can increase the chance of skeleton keys dropping.
-
3 RisposteThe only problem with that is it even if priced high most of us probably have quite a stack of coins by now. I could just wander up to Xur, buy like 40 keys, and farm the chests like there was no tomorrow. Anybody could. If the Key was limited to one per week, though? That could work.
-
This is a good plan. Agreed.
-
Considering they want you to play strikes, and Skeleton Keys open chests for strike specific loot, it makes sense that they only drop from strikes. It'd

3 RisposteModificato da chickengoujohn93: 10/7/2016 2:20:08 PMSkeleton Keys for the same Strike exclusive rewards you should have gotten in Year Two, even if that meant resorting to grinding Nightfalls to acquire them? Isn't that how most people got their Strike rewards? Anyone who has been playing since the launch of TTK should have most if not all Strike rewards by now with some decent rolls on the weapons in particular! Don't care if it gives you high Light Rewards! End of game Challenge of Elders drops, Challenge of Elders Sigil, House of Judgement Rep Packages, Queens Wrath Packages, Crota's Bane Packages, Vanguard Packages, Faction Packages, Crucible Packages, end of game Crucible drops, end of game Iron Banner drops, Weekly Iron Banner Bounties, Rank 3/5 Iron Banner Packages, end of game Trials drops, Trials Bounties, 5/7 wins on Trials Card, The Lighthouse, Nightfalls, Wrath of the Machine and Exotic Engrams have got you covered for Light Level from armor, to class items, to weapons, to ghosts to artifacts, yes artifacts!!!! Haven't tested it but Kings Fall may also give you rewards based on your Light Level as it was coded to do so back in the April Update. The only three rewards you should have struggled to get in Year Two were Theosiyan Vibrasse, Cloak of Taniks and Does Not Bow. One Strike was never a Nightfall due to being a Playstation exclusive, the other was only ever a Nightfall once throughout the entirety of TTK. The new Strike Rewards are nothing to write home about either. A static roll Sniper and three armor pieces, two of which are class items the other being the ugliest Gauntlets to ever grace this game. You could say Fatebringer rolled Imago Loops, but you'll then realize phantom bullets are still a thing and throw it into your Vault to collect dust, just as I did with mine. Skeleton Key drop rates are fine. Nobody is really missing anything.

I have done 30 plus strikes with only getting 2 keys... Great idea!
-
That's actually a pretty good idea
-
1 RispondiThat is a very good idea. He should also sell exotic shards again as well.
-
Even if Xur doesn't sell them, something has to change regarding the drop rate.
-
I'm fine with that...but they'd have to make the decently expensive to balance it out...like 10-15 coins for one. That'd be a fair price considering the prices on his other items.
-
3 RisposteOr he could sell "three of crybabies" that gives a 100% chance to get everything with max light immedietly.
-
I dont strike often. But they drop every 5 or 6 for me. Sometimes longer but not everything should be handed to us.
-
1 RispondiAgreed, great idea! ~TheGreatReebok
-
I'm fine with them being RNG, brings back the old treasure key excitement.

1 RispondiI agree the drop rate needs to be buffed for sure. However if Xur were to sell them try would be a lot less special and it will be way to easy to get good loot from strikes lol

Modificato da AJIc3CoLd: 10/7/2016 7:41:20 AMAbsolutely, make it to where you can only buy a limited amount per week if you don't want it getting too out of hand but something should absolutely be done about the horrible drop rate.
-
I got one on the second strike i did in RoI lol. Haven't gotten one since, though.
-
2 Rispostei remember when xûr sold strange coins.
-
Strange coins are almost a useless currency they have been around for so long - for example until Sunday i hadn't played in 6 weeks and after buying every weapon/Armour Xur has this week + a bunch of 3 of coins i still have 600 remaining....
-
3 RisposteTotally, because I still haven't gotten one from doing any strike at all
-
3 RisposteI somewhat agree. I've only gotten one so far but, if he sold them for say... 100 strange coins, 20,000 glimmer and an exotic shard then I'd say yes.
