How to ensure that others are at Archon's Forge
So like many players in Destiny I play solo. I have noticed that many people are having problems running Achon's forge consistently do to there never being any one there to run it with when you arrive.
Well here is a trick I learned to be able to run it with other randoms consistently.
When you arrive at the Archon's Forge, if its empty simply jump down and run past it down into the next area that mobs spawn. Kill the mobs and turn around and [b]WALK[/b] back up to the forge. You should get the pop up that there is an active event in the zone you are about to enter and as you round the last corner you will see there is people actively running the forge. Have fun and enjoy the carnage!
This worked for me every time the past couple of nights so should work for you too.
It appears that the empty zones before and after Archon's Forge are like a match making zones. The first zone seems inconsistent but going through the forge and out the other end and back seems to give more time to find an instance with other players.
If this has already been posted I'm sorry. Just noticed there is a lot of complaining about not being able to run it so figured I should post this up for others who didn't learn this trick on their own.

It works like a charm. I tryed it during scan the anomally patrol, got 4 and then 5 people in forge. Then i proceeded to anomally. I killed tank scan anomally and then dropped in hole beneath tank. I got to giant space from where I just couldn't get back to plaguelands. Tryed to jump my way up. Finally had to go to orbit.

I just tried it works! It gave me a lobby with like 6 people in it lol. Got some pretty good farming going there.

2 thumbs up for OP. I just tried this method, and had an absolute BLAST for the last half hour or so hammering on the forge. I got the fusion rifle, the hunter cloak, 2 tier1 ruins, 1 tier 2 and 1 tier 3... Plus a metric Shit-ton of Blues and greens....

This makes complete sense if you understand destiny's matchmaking structure and loading zones. There are areas between zones it uses to matchmake you, if a match isn't found by the time you exit the zone, it will often put you solo. So taking it slow crossing a loading threshold should always help.

unfortunate that finding people to play with doesnt mean this event gives anything worthwhile..... around 100 rounds split evenly between fused/enhanced/perfected. all ive gotten is blue engrams and legendary class items far below my light level(370)..... archons forge is kind of a waste of time so far for me lol
