Thank you) YEAR 3 IS HERE!!! To all those guardians saving engrams of any rarity this is for you. In order to get the best results of any engram please follow these steps. 1. HIGHLY RECOMMEND to complete the main story before decrypting anything. You WILL be getting 340+ stuff to infuse so do that to get the best results 2. OPTIONAL I know I won't be doing this but it is also recommend to do some strikes and or archons forge for those extra few light levels 3. WHEN DECRYPTING: do it slowly. Let's say you get 350 exotics arms you already have, it's probably best to infuse it into legendarys because you can't have all exotics. Save any year 3 stuff tho. 4. IMPORTANT!!! Although it may be tempting to infuse into your sexy current gear, remember one thing. Since our gear is y2 the stats won't be as good as the legendary stuff you get now. So even though yea maybe your stuff looks cooler or is fully upgraded, you might not want to miss the opportunity for some tier 12 stats. 5. 3oC STILL WORKS. Use them. There's probably some bosses is the story missions and definitely in strikes too. 6. SAVE GEAR. It's temping to get to max light right away but if you infuse a bunch of stuff right away to your current gear, and then get even better gear 10 minutes later and infuse that you're just wasting marks. 7. SAVE YOUR BAD YEAR 2 LEGENDARYS. Dismantle for marks when you're low. Also make sure you're not at cap before you dismantle. 8. DECRYPT ONE AT A TIME. It's fun to spam the button but take your time with this. If you are raising your light as you decrypt you'll get better results. 9. PRO TIP (time consuming) Consider running the story on an alt, switching your 340+ gear to your main, then run the story on your main at 340 to get even higher light before you decrypt. 10. WITH THE RAID ON FRIDAY LIGHT CAP GOES TO 400. you might want to consider waiting till Friday to decrypt or at least save a few depending on what light you reach before then for the chance at some near max light stuff.
