I'm probably going to get a fair amount of flak for this one. However, each to their own and this is my sole opinion. Before you take to the comments to crucify me though try to look at my opinion from a outside angle.
So I 'FREAKING' hate Destiny PVP. I can't stand it in the slightest. For me it's not fun, it just makes me want to smash my face into a brick wall repeatedly until I leave an imprint in the wall of my beautiful face.
But that doesn't mean others don't like it, and I'm completely fine with that. Each to their own as I said before. However my real issue or bone to pick, as they say. I's how players like myself are forced into PVP for loot otherwise unobtainable if we don't compromise.
I'm not referring to crucible bounties or Shaax's annoying quests. I'm referring to things like exotic quests, and the year to Moments of triumph. Now like many other gamers before me I'm a collector and a protectionist, but Destiny's PVP is a far cry from where I'd venture to get a few collectables. I can't stand seeing cool loot like the once in a lifetime shader or that fancy emblem pass me by as it's a unique thing, an accomplishment.
But why force a player who enjoys giving thrall a few extra holes, into PVP? There's nothing gained by doing so. I can understand that some loot is more tailored to this approach but at least give the guys that want to bypass PVP a route to the loot, even if it is more of a grinding marathon.
Today I've forced myself into PVP just to get a shader and an emblem and I haven't even come close to it yet. I suck at PVP in Destiny, I won't sugar coat it...
So what I'm asking my dearest Bungie. Is to just remember that not everyone likes PVP and not everyone wants to play PVP. Some just want to rack up points or burn some time travelling the cosmodrome.
Give the underdogs a little slack with these cut throat challenges. Let the little guy tackle problems in a different way.
I'll admit some of this was me venting my frustration coming out of PVP. But I stand by my opinion. After all it's a big part of the reason I stopped playing 5 - 6 months ago...
Thanks for listening to an old man ramble.

Agree. I used to love MM, then hated it for along time, and then got back into it. However, now I yet again hate it. So broken. So yes, make loot universal by attaining means. More or less harder to get.

1 RispondiI was like you, I hated crucible (mostly because I was terrible, and honestly - I'm not great now either) but I really wanted Thorn - I remember I struggled for a long time with that specific quest line (void kills) when I finally had Atheon's Eplilogue drop and that made it a lot easier. I eventually got the other exotic quests done as well during year one and for every time I forced myself to beat the challenges crucible was throwing at me I enjoyed it a little bit more. Now during year 2 there was none of the crucible-related quests that I really had to struggle with (sure, The First Curse was a bit annoying, but it was still doable in a few attempts). Now I actually play crucible occasionally just for the fun of it. Not sure what point I'm trying to make here but just keep at it, it'll grow on you - and you'll get better in the process as well. Like it or not, crucible is part of Destiny - and no one is forcing you to do anything, you're forcing yourself to do it. I don't see any crucible players complaining about having to do the raids to get Vex Mythoclast, Touch of Malice or Necrochasm.
