I would rather have working Servers than private matches tbh

Considering Destiny 2 might have a release date in September next year, and that Rise of Iron is going to be the last planned DLC (as far as we know) for Destiny (which has been out for almost 3 years now), I highly doubt that Bungie would take the time to recode the entire matchmaking process from scratch in order to put in dedicated servers. And that would take a while to finish.

No. This is a great opportunity. They now have implemented Private matches, so they can get rid of Skill Based Match Making and implement Connection Based Match Making. The connections should sort them selves out in some way after that happens. That is, assuming they get their heads out of their asses over there at Bungie.

Agreed. The system doesn't work and just burns out the people who are the most dedicated to this game.

Modificato da pacificdune: 8/21/2016 9:53:30 PMIf "servers" refers to you have issues with lag, I recommend that you check your connection. Most of my matches are very good... So there are people out there that don't have a problem. Good luck!

I play with 75/20 & the guy I regularly play with has 250/250. We both live in the eastern U.S. yet we regularly get matched against players from south America Europe. Our Internet isn't the problem when opponents are redbar & teleporting around the map.

It's your region lock, I have great Internet but whenever I'm matched with played in south america they red bar teleport to victory. I have a buddy who befriended to SA players and he can't even speak their language, but every week he tells me they red bar lagged his shit crucible ass to the lighthouse.

Same. My connection is fine. Get the odd lagger on the other team. SBMM is easy to blame for some players as an excuse for their poor connection. I think the majority of the lag is the players not SBMM.
-
That's not servers that's SBMM.

Consider the general gaming community as a "pool" of players and out of that pool how many of them still play destiny, how many of them have a good connection, how many match up with proper SBMM stats... I don't know the actual numbers but I'm guessing that the drop off from the pool of players is considerable and considering all this I think it's a sign of success that I'm not waiting longer periods after a game has been out for 3 years. Dedicated servers would be nice though
