Sony paid for it. It's not Bungie's fault
We all paid for the same game and we all got it.
Sony paid for exclusive content and gave it to their customers.
Would you pay for a car only to have the dealership tell you where to drive it? Sony paid for it. We are lucky that we see it at all.
This was a business deal that the adults here should understand. I get it, that the children don't understand it. They are still learning how business works.
I have even seen at least one thread on here that had a link to the BBB for Activision to file complaints. REALLY? "Your business deal didn't benefit me!" Boo hoo. Get over yourself.

If I understand the chain of events correctly didn't Sony fork out money so destiny wasn't Xbox exclusive? Not they just paid more. I could be wrong.

3 RisposteIt's this simple. Sony puts up money and requests extra content for its users. Bungie takes that money and allocates personnel, time and money to produce content. Naturally, content produced with that capital is expected to go to Sony. Bungie can try to put a condition in the clause that stipulates a release to Xbox following 1 year of exclusivity for PlayStation. However, if PlayStation does not agree to it, they can decide not to participate in funding extra content and there will be no extra content at all. Tldr? Sony funds produce of extra content. Xbox is not entitled to content that Sony pays for. Bungie is not to blame.

2 RisposteThis is hurting everyone. Xur can't sell the Zen or Jade, ToO can't have sector 618 as the map, and the Restorative mind can't be the nightfall. And not many people are angry that PS exclusives exist, it's that we don't know when we will get them. It sucks for everyone

And keeping whats left of the community happy should be a priority for obvious reasons. Personally,, i have zero problems with exclusive weapons, maps/strikes on the other hand .....

5 RisposteThe thought that Sony paid for exclusive content is a misconception. If that was the case, it would [b]never[/b] come to Xbox. The fact that it [b]does[/b] eventually come to Xbox means it was always meant for both consoles. Since the developers can't release content that isn't finished, then the idea that Sony gets it first is also a misconception. It works the same way as a 30 day wait on content. All that DLC is done. Its finished. Whether its a 30 day wait, a year wait, a 2 year wait? It doesn't matter. Nobody is paying to get it early. That content is done. Sony and Microsoft are paying to keep it away from each other. As gamers, as adults, that should bother everyone whether it works in your favor or not. The fact that a company that makes, develops, and publishes games would purposely keep gamers from content, should be a concern for everyone. No matter what console you prefer.

The exclusive pvp maps will not be the trials map. Xur will not sell the exclusive exotics lowering ps4 players chances of ever getting to even use them unless they're lucky. The weekly activities are suffering due to this exclusivity deal. The more content on both sides the better.

When Destiny got released, it should have been no surprise at all that PS3 and PS4 would get more content and attention than Xbox....why? Build. The. Fan base. For those like me that were around in the beginning, remember when they used to do the special crucible things where developers or moderators would be playing and if you beat them you got a emblem? Only on PlayStation. Why? Build. The. Fan base. Exclusive strikes, exotics, different Iron Banner gear? Build. The. Fan base. Bungie was established as "those halo guys" for Xbox users. If they only released Destiny for PlayStation, the sales most likely wouldent have been as good as they were/are....why? Exclusives. Not hard friends....[i]children[/i] could figure it out. "Business is business". Regardless of Sony paying more or less, they were gonna get more right out of the gate to build the fan base. Class dismissed.

Sony paid for an exclusivity deal, agreed. But they are 'timed exclusives', so what sony actually paid for, (i would speculate) is for that content to be exclusive to sony for a limited time. The extension of this limited time without any kind of heads-up from bungie to the xbox players is what has caused many of the posts, rather than the time extension itself. If sony had actually paid [i]for[/i] the exclusives then i doubt xbox would [i]ever[/i] see them.

3 RisposteGenerally, exclusive stuff like this was fine in the past. But it was done with games that had enough content to satisfy those without access to the exclusive stuff. Year 1 suffered from a lack of things to do. We're at a point in year 2 where no ones really miss in the the armor and weapons, but the strike anmap should definitely not stay exclusive for another year.

I've been reading these posts for awhile now and I see one common theme among all of the xbox players saying that they don't care about (whilst replying to the post not complaining to the author) the exclusives yet still complaining about it. Sony paid for it. It is basically dlc that Sony paid for to be on their console. Microsoft or xbox players didn't. Yes I do agree it it pretty dumb to keep a couple guns exclusive for more than a couple of months but it just gets repetitive with all the exclusives

This again? Really I get Xbox got stitched up when it comes to exclusives in destiny but we really don't need to keep going on about it. Every one will get access to it eventually even ps players who've had a really difficult time getting the exclusives I remember having difficulty getting Monte Carlo in year 1 when it dropped in y2 I was content with that.
