I will be buying it on PC so I have to wait until the 12th. I am very excited and pretty soon NMS posts will be jumping up everywhere.
My question is, without spoilers, is it good? Is it a quality game for what they were trying to pull off? You can tell me about certain mechanics or features because I don't consider that a "spoiler". What is your favorite mechanic in the game? Is there a mechanic that truly sells the game (besides the open world, that's obvious)?
Edit1: Less than 48 hours, just a little longer my friends. Also, thank you for all the replies and likes. This was a very helpful post and I am very excited to finally play this game.
Edit2: I have a brand new $1800 rig on the way and NMS will be the first game I play on it. I am so pumped.
Edit3: Just 1 more hour. I am very excited. Hold out just a little longer my fellow PC players.
Thank you for your time.

2 RisposteGame is a laggy mess on pc.
-
Just a quick tip for anyone buying NMS for PC: go to settings and turn V-Sync off and change the max FPS. It was on and locked at 30 when I first started the game
-
1 RispondiPC Protip: If you have a PS4 controller use it! So much better, it has native support and also changes all the in-game button prompts to the PS4 buttons.
-
5 RisposteAlready put over 30hrs on the ps4 version, can't wait to see what it looks like on pc! Hopefully it has some extra settings and can process the game faster to help with rendering issues. Should aid with the immersion :)

1 RispondiI'm having a lot of fun. There is a learning curve for sure.

14 RisposteModificato da Psyntifik: 8/11/2016 3:28:01 PMReviews are starting to put me off. The only the no keeping me thinking about it is how nice it will look on my PC. I'm okay with a lot of the same, but this seems to go about that the wrong way. All of them have said it's land, mine, take off, repeat. The worlds apparently haven't been that interesting for the most part, all the animals and NPC's behave the same way, there's no animosity or real interaction with the factions, and because of how easy it is to get supplies and the lack of danger, the survival aspect is almost nonexistent. Might wait for a price drop if I can resist the pretty visuals.

Dooooo it

If you like farming shooting rocks and managing your inventory this games for you if you like excitement and action move along
-
So donuts, did you end up getting it? What do you think.

I think the game is exactly what they said it was going to be and if that's what you want then you will love it. I adore this game. It really captures my imagination. I enjoy the mechanics, minimilistic style. Greatest strength I think is the ability to play how you want. Right now, I found a moon that has endless amounts of those vortex cubes (it is a trade commodity). I am almost at 10 million units just exploring this moon. This tiny little moon with a giant planet in the background.

8 RisposteModificato da Skyrender6: 8/10/2016 10:40:20 PMI've played it for five hours so far so here's what I can tell you. The game's greatest strength is also its greatest flaw. The sheer vastness of everything makes it so you feel like you are playing something truly special, but at the same time you might start to ask yourself after landing on your tenth planet, finding your twentieth monolith, making contact with your tenth "creature", or upgrading your fifth multi-tool--what is the point? Now that's not to say I don't like the game. It is really a unique experience. I just don't know if it's a game that will sustain my attention for another 20 to 30 hours until I decide to move on to another game. For now though, I have to admit it really has my attention. I was in a sort of trance the whole time I played it, and hyper driving to other planets is an amazing feeling. Imagine the destiny loading screens with your ship, except you get to control where you're going and you'll see what I mean. On a side note, the game is aesthetically one of the most beautiful things you'll ever have the pleasure of playing. Unfortunately, from a technical side things can get a bit ugly. On the ps4 the game suffers from bad popup and slow-to-load textures. Worst of all the game runs at 30fps which was surprising to me because all of the videos released for the press gave the impression that it ran at 60. As a PC gamer though I'm sure you won't have these problems if your specs are good enough. Probably my favorite aspect of the game is the music. The game has an unique post-rock score (think Explosions in the Sky or Godspeed You Black Emperor) that absolutely enhances the mood of the game. It really helps to make you feel like your experiencing a truly epic journey across the universe. So is it worth playing? Absolutely--there is nothing like it. But only time will tell if the game has real staying power.

Is it coming out on Xbox at all?
-
Got it on ps4 and I love it. I've had no problems with it so far but then again I don't pay much attention to technical flaws unless their huge.

5 RisposteModificato da Haknir: 8/11/2016 4:20:37 AMIt's slower at first, a little boring, but it gets really fun as long as you aren't expecting a super fast paced action game. It's more an exploration game than an action one. It also has some of the toughest decisions I've made in any game.

4 RisposteModificato da Doc: 8/10/2016 11:43:16 PMBasically what I expected, it's no game of the year but what it set out to do it did well. The exploration is (obviously) fantastic and the worlds can be beautiful (unless it's the planet I started on which was a cold, barren pile of shit). Honestly it's not going to be a game that will keep me around all the time but it's one that I can see myself returning to often when you want a nice chill session and I'm hopeful for the games future. The crafting system still confuses me somewhat as I don't know what 70% of these random objects I'm collecting are actually used for but hey I'm still learning I guess. But overall I'm very satisfied with the purchase, Hello Games deserve it.

Modificato da Superpug: 8/11/2016 3:33:29 AMAt first I didn't like it, cause it wasn't close to what I expected. Then I gave it time and I'm really starting to like it. The only thing is, the developers haven't told us anything so there is so much mystery in the game. Nobody has figured it out yet.
-
It definitely requires quite a bit of patience. Don't expect to be on the edge of your seat many times during the game. It's a fantastic game if you like exploration and discovering cool thing on different and unique planets. It's a great time-killer game - not without its faults, but what game doesn't have problems?
-
7 RisposteIn the center it's a cutscene of you and you get black out then wake up on a new planet with your ship broken again. Just saved you guys 30+ hours of nothing.
-
1 RispondiIt a pretty good game. A lot more choices surrounding the plot than I expected. BIG TIP: follow all the signals you see on planets while in space. I didn't and ended up having to restart the game because I missed a blueprint I needed. Also don't use the preorder ship until you get the hyperdrive blueprint. Trust me.
-
1 RispondiThe only thing that's impressive is how big and vast the universe is other than that you roam around and shoot rocks that fill up your inventory in seconds so there's two things this game is built around that bother me in other games farming and inventory management so if those two things are something you like in other games you will love this game if your like me once you get over how vast the game is you will be bored fast
-
1 RispondiLet me start out by saying that I was very skeptical of No Man's Sky before its release. In fact, I almost didn't preorder. But then I saw the leaks, and the leaks of the unfinished game made me pre-order it. With that being said, you have to go in understanding that it is a procedurally generated survival exploration game, which means hey if you like stuff that often time looks similar and you like survival exploration, this game will be right up your alley. If not, I'd skip it. I bought it release night digitally and I've loved every moment I've played.

13 RisposteIs herridium found on planet's or moons? I'm stuck in a system where the trade outpost doesn't sell a thing and I can't create a warp cell.
-
6 RisposteI thought there is no story how can there be spoilers
-
11 RisposteGame seems boring as hell to me. Granted I haven't played but watched my brother for a few hours and every time I'd check in and see how it was it seemed like an equally bland experience. Honesty it looks like destiny without anyone else or any enemies in the game. Seems like a great building block for a truly great game but now it seems super lame.
-
3 RisposteI want this game bad but the ps4 exclusive shit is killing me
-
10 RisposteInvest in getting an atlas pass V1. All those cylinder containers that are locked hold antimatter or antimatter components.
