17 RisposteI really don't understand why people hate the Year 2 theme so much. They make it sound like its unbearable to listen to, and I say that as someone who generally enjoys the Year 1 theme more anyway Besides, the Year 2 music is thematically fitting with the current version of Destiny right now in case no one could tell. It seems obvious to me that the music selection is based on the current version of Destiny. The Year 2 theme really fits well with how the state of the universe is in Destiny at the moment. The Year 1 version worked back in Year 1 due to everything being new and unexplored to us as players. It's why the theme was so fitting back then. It fit the theme of the game. By Year 2, this was no longer the case with Oryx's arrival so the theme changed accordingly. I'm sure Year 3 will have a similar shift in tone and thus music. I guess that with my point of view I'm able to appreciate it more than most people.

1 RispondiEither bring back the original score (which was bloody awesome!) or lose the "epic" sub-Wagnerian drivel that you added for the Taken King (like seriously, this kind of dross seems to stink up so many film and game scores, you'd think all the decent composers and musicians had gone into hiding or something) and replace it with something more original. Would be nice to be able to turn the music back on in the game without it inspiring me into ranting about crappy musical clichés.

I agree. I remember the first time I heard year 2 theme music...sounded so generic compared to the original Destiny opening theme music.

Seriously the opening music in vanilla was great and it gave you that sense of mystery and discovery that Destiny was originally supposed to have. The Taken King opening is just unsettling and not even remotely inviting. It just makes me think, "oh god here we go again, time to get blinded by taken captains some more."

Yeah [b][i]NOW[/i][/b] people care about what happened to Marty. Just like people like Dinkledge [b][i]after[/i][/b] he's replaced. There's a lot of the same people bashing who were bashing him, now wishing he stayed.
