Been playing since 1977, Atari 2600 release and acquired the nick name "vgk".
It stands for video game knowledge. If anyone couldn't get past a stage, they ask me. I get them thru parts of the game they struggle at.
Owned every major system since, these days I play on Xbox one, own a ps4 as well, (daughters).
So, 45 years old and still game, help with all age groups and they help me as well. My age has slowed the reflexes a bit, but have yet to find anyone skilled enough to help get me to the lighthouse. The time will come, I'm sure.
So the question is to the older gamers, when did you start gaming? And have you made it to the lighthouse?
+: wow, so many gamers, what would our lives be without our games???

Since '95 or '96. I started with the SNES and Super Mario World. Turning 25 at the end of this month.
-
Been involved with video gaming since 1979.
-
Played my parents Atari when I was really young. Then the NES came out and that is when I really fell in love with gaming!
-
Colecovision. Donkey Kong and Star Trek. Played Pong when it came out but never owned it.
-
Pole position on Atari in mid 1980s.

I am 54 and only started playing video games back in 2004 when I bought a PS2 for my son. I used to play Rachet and Clank when my son had gone to bed. I don't think I have any slowdown in my reflexes yet and I really enjoy playing the game when I have the spare time for it. The lighthouse is for coordinated teams I believe but I could use the grimoire card for it.

I was 5. Had the atari 2600 and the Texas instruments keyboard that came with a football game and some mine field game. It was 1983.
-
1985...I'm 34 years old (35 this year)...so 31 years!

Modificato da ExigentSolitude: 8/2/2016 11:58:55 AM'78 with the Atari 2600 as well. Lighthouse once, with each class type. Neat, but not worth doing again. I'd rather play The Last Array story mission before gearing up for Trials again. 2600, 7200, Colecovision, Intellivision, Sega Genesis, NES, Turbografix (console and handheld), Super NES, PS, PS2, Xbox, PS3, 360, One UCOFT, A/B Fist, SIMNET, M-CCTT...do they even count? :)

1987. Started on a calecovision.

3 RisposteWhy does it matter ? If you don't own or ay on a new gen console you are just the lowest piece of trash on this planet. So I've heard anyways.

1 RispondiStarted with Atari 2600, and Commodore 64 ( where you had to write the program before you could play it, lol) QUit video games for a long time after the Nintendo 64, Destiny, Rocksmith brought me back to daily gaming. The lighthouse is just a dream, never been, all I want is the grimore card, lol. THe constant nerfs though have expanded the library to other games. Remember when you bought a cartridge and that was the game?, love it or leave it.
