How long have you been playing video games?
Been playing since 1977, Atari 2600 release and acquired the nick name "vgk".
It stands for video game knowledge. If anyone couldn't get past a stage, they ask me. I get them thru parts of the game they struggle at.
Owned every major system since, these days I play on Xbox one, own a ps4 as well, (daughters).
So, 45 years old and still game, help with all age groups and they help me as well. My age has slowed the reflexes a bit, but have yet to find anyone skilled enough to help get me to the lighthouse. The time will come, I'm sure.
So the question is to the older gamers, when did you start gaming? And have you made it to the lighthouse?
+: wow, so many gamers, what would our lives be without our games???

I started back in the early 90's with the NES. My first game was Mario Bros. 3. I'm currently playing on the Xbox 360, but plan on upgrading at some point; most likely after the weather gets colder and I start playing some games again. As far as the lighthouse goes, no, I have yet to make it there. I can't seem to get the right team together to do it; or I just end up sucking, lol.

I personally never have had the twitch reflexes required for most PVP FPS games, which is why I like Destiny so much. Been to the Lighthouse multiple times, my best advice is get you a good team & if you don't feel comfortable slaying just guard the enemies orbs when they die. Might seem like you're not contributing, but I guarantee your team mates will thank you once you stop your opponent from res-ing a few times.

And I feel like as I'm getting older my skills are improving as a gamer, and my reaction times are getting better as well :) And yes, I've made it to the lighthouse multiple times, your time will come soon! :) ~[i]TheGreatNike[/i]
