Then you attack the nation's intellectual centers by filling them with your propaganda, arrogance, historical doctoring and furthering division between the "educated" and "non educated." 3. Make the most vulnerable people dependent on you, either financially, medically or morally... it's essentially slavery, but with perks and a less offensive buzzword. 4. Bring in people (who will be dependent on you) from the outside to water down the citizenry... if enough of the population could care less about what makes that nation, the better. 5. This is perhaps the most important of them all... You absolutely must disarm the population of their abilities to speak out against you (usually by proclaiming differing opinions as hate speech) and their ability to fight back against you (nothing is more discerning to a conquerer than an armed populace). 6. Make the populace hate being who they are and where they are from. Stomp out all pretenses of national pride. 7. Take control.
