The only propose of a gun is to kill. That is what it was designed to do. that is what people use them to do. Why should you have the right to kill someone? What gives you right decide when someone lives and when someone dies? People can protect themselves without guns. There are non lethal ways of neutralizing and attacker. IE : tasers and pepper spray.
After the Australian gun ban gun related felonies dropped and so did overall crime rate after and small spike. Does Australia violate human rights and oppress its people?
no
Guns do not kill people but any one with a gun can. We cannot remove crazy people but we can get rid of guns. Although background check do help they are not always done properly or at all.
I am open to have an intelligent conversation but please stay respectfully of other peoples opinions.

Modificato da Savage Coconut: 7/27/2016 4:20:03 PMGod, I wanna say this is a joke, but sadly there's many people that think like this. Good thing is you're most likely under 18 & not allowed to vote for anything.

Modificato da The_Moustache: 7/27/2016 9:44:38 PMBuddy, I live in Alabama. The government can ban guns if they want, but it won't matter in the slightest. Newborns are sent home with a football and a shotgun. We used to offer blue and orange or crimson and gray blankets, but some people can get a little crazy when they see certain color combinations.

There are two main reasons for the 2nd Amendment... 1. To allow us to overthrow an oppressive government WHEN, not if, the time comes. 2. To arm the citizens against foreign invasion to either reduce or eliminate the need for standing armies. Thomas Jefferson warned that private banks (aka The Federal Reserve) and standing armies were the greatest threats to our liberty. General Smedley Butler warned that war is a racket and that only adequate defense at the coastline is needed. President and 5-Star General Dwight D. Eisenhower advised Americans of the dangers of the growing military-industrial complex. Some of the greatest minds, highest ranking officers, and most decorated military men have warned America of the dangers of vast and sprawling standing armies. As long as Americans have guns, our greatest threat will not be foreign invasion. It will complacency as our government erodes away at our rights and enslaves the progeny of those who fought for the country's freedom.

Apparently your brain was abolished years ago.

Criminals always get guns, so why strip the law-abiding citizens of their weapons? I'm not going to use a taser if I'm at gunpoint, I'm using my gun and I'm shooting first.
come and try to take my guns democratic liberal scum
-
Criminals don't give a shit about the law, if they get a gun it's over for the civilians he's after. Maybe not outright bannin guns, but instead have to take a mental health test every so often. To evaluate if someone is in a good enough condition to carry guns.

Modificato da Luxfore: 7/28/2016 1:35:22 AMAustralia may not violate their citizens human rights, but their police will ticket you for anything. Besides, I'd rather have guns and not need them over needing them and not having them.
Australia lost two wars against birds, any argument they use against the U.S. is not valid at this point.

Mass shootings in America are four or more people shot in on shooting. With that being said, most mass shootings are from gangs and drive bys. Get rid of gangs/ghettos and that number will drop drastically.
1 RispondiThere are other reasons to have a gun. Recreation, Hunting, competition. And, it's easier to defend yourself with a gun, than with a taser or pepper spray. Also, if the government even TRIED to repeal the 2nd ammendment, half the country would be in an uproar, and it could lead to a second civil war. One more thing. I think that if, somehow, guns were banned, it might have a similair consequence to the prohibition. That was designed to stop crimes and negative side effects related to alcohol. It didn't work, and it caused more crime. I'm not saying that this would definitely happen, but banning guns could certainly cause unforseen consequences.

4 RisposteIt's my right to own a gun so...
screw you
-
I'll repeal you like a banana that was already pealed
I know, not the same word as peel.
4 Risposte
After the Australian gun ban gun related felonies dropped and so did overall crime rate after and small spike.
That's a straight up lie. Mass shootings went down, but Violet crimes, crimes with guns, and gun murders all went up.

4 RisposteI know it's not a popular opinion at all, but I honestly feel like after almost 250 years.. maybe it's about time to take another look at the constitution and see how much of it still applies to a modern society. I don't feel like anything needs to necessarily be removed. But a few clarifications and stipulations would probably be a pretty good idea right about now. I also find it kinda funny how people scream at the thought of ever changing the constitution when the amendments they're so worried about are, y'know... amendments........
-
People need to stop being afraid of guns smh...
-
Yeah. I get PTSD just from seeing a picture of a gun too.
-
Oh boy, I saw this title and expected ignorant shit heads in the comments. I am not dissapointed by these comments
-
Repealed? No. Updated to deal with 240 years of technological advances? Most definitely.
Idiots and Sensitive Persons Access to Firearms Should be Repealed
Fix'd

5 RisposteBro I could kill you with a bottle, a butter knife,a bowl, I mean ffs I could kill you with dish soap. It being able to kill someone is a moronic argument.
-
On your point of removing crazy people, in my opinion a mental health register has to be set up. This register would contain people who have been proven to be mentally dangerous, or are suspected by a doctor to be mentally dangerous. When a certified mental health expert has cleared them, they can purchase firearms. Anyone on the list would not be able to purchase a gun. Versions of this have been set up in many stated.

This is like his 3rd title change.
-
1 RispondiAnd then what happens when the government turns on the people? We'd be SOL.
-
26 RisposteThen how do we defend ourselves?
-
I'm finally almost done with school and can start working and I'll be damned if my right to finally own a gun be taken away! Hello sks, m1911 and 50 cal sniper rifle! Also tanks to.
-
I agree with the title (even though the word you're looking for is repealed, not abolished), but that's about it. There's a lot of things wrong with your post.
-
Im pretty sure we can remove crazy people.

So a nerf gun is a killing machine? K.
