Trials should have a rework on Y3.
Imho, trials should have tiers, like Dark souls SLR.
Something like:
0 lighthouse trips, will be matched agains 0 lighthouse trips.
1-5 lighthouse trips, should be matched against 1-5 lighthouse trips players.
6-10+ should get matchmake only with 6-10 lighthouse trips.
and 11+
So, this way, everyone could have a shot to get to the lighthouse. Also, the highest number of trips player in a fireteam is considered.
But, thats would be bad to streamers and youtubers, and you know, all that bungie care is them.
Also, when a new dlc is droped, all the counter is set to 0 and everyone can star over.
EDIT: Anticipating the hate, i did gone flawless a few times (+/- 20 times) on year one.

Too few players and Trials was intended for the elite. If you've gone flawless then you should be thanking RNG matchmaking

2 RispostePeople would cry because it's too much logic. They would have a friend who has more than 11+ flawless runs and they would only have 4 flawless runs. They would get upset that they're facing people with more flawless runs than them or if we wanted to make it more interesting, a playlist for each amount of flawless runs like you suggested in the thread and they wouldn't be able to play with each other because of the amount of flawless runs. Until the said person can get over 11+ flawless runs, they can't play trials with their friend.

2 RisposteIn addition to this, why not speed up the process of entering Trials? Instead of ferrying back and forth from the Reef for a new card just allow us to reset the card on the inventory screen. Also take away boons altogether so the card automatically has all 3 by default. I really don't believe that this would reduce weekly crucible player numbers by a significant amount.

7 Rispostethe lighthouse isnt supposed to be easy to get to..

This sounds like a good idea. As a guy that has never been to the lighthouse I can say this would be nice. All I really want is the grimoire, I couldn't care less about the loot.
