Dark drinker
So I am working on my third exotic sword. My hunter currently has the bolt caster bounty. And my warlock has a semi upgraded raze lighter. So I killed ecthar on my Titan with my void sword. Talked to shaxx and he didn't give me the exotic quest
Yes my sword is above 280 and yes it is upgraded
What is going on
No defender isn't fully upgraded but I don't think that should be the issue

When you level the sword up an extra bubble will appear. Check the sword again and ensure all bubbles are filled.
