When using fatebringer and vision of counfluence was the best for strikes, night falls, and raids. That feeling after beating a certain boss and waiting to get a drop instead of running up to engrams (not to say engrams are fun to run up to) but just looking at the left side of the screen to see the drops always had me excited to get that one weapon or body armor. Gosh I miss those days

4 RisposteThey should just make every primary come with a non standard burn. Like secondaries. Problem solved.
-
What do you mean? I love dumping two magazines into a shielded red psion.
-
13 RisposteBump if you piss next to the water in the toilet so it's quiet........
-
2 RisposteI like how the reason for removing them was to encourage weapon diversity, yet they made one primary with a burn (zhalo) so anytime arc burn comes up everyone is basically forced to use Zhalo to keep up with their fire team . Bring back primary burns already.
-
2 RisposteFunny how people now hate on engrams dropping, when "engrams not dropping from bosses" was one of the biggest complaints in Y1. There is always something to complain about I guess.
-
Yep. Really mis those guns. I still look in awe at my Vex, Voc, fatebringer sometimes.. At the time, there was no need for lfg too. Just went to the tower and looked at who had no flaming head and invited them for a nightfall if i didnt want to solo it. Kept the nice people on the friendslist, and we had some incredible good times doing raids together too. Too sad at where we stand now😢 But its just a game.....
-
I would want them to add a thing in the game that makes anny weapon an element. Something you can buy from someone like xur. And adds a certain element to youre weapon
-
I see alot of mentioning of how all anyone would use is those aforementioned primaries. The solution is simple. There would be two options. - Any legendary drops, or engraved openings would have a small chance to drop a random burn. - Have Xur sell some object that would add a random burn to a primary weapon. Things like the VoC and Fatebringer were considered op in over because they were of the select few. Did the burns make then special for completing end game content? They sure did, but I would hope Bungie could find a way to make them special still, unlike the end game content for pve that we have now. There is NOTHING appealing about them, except to help those who are not 335 continual to level up.
-
Fair enough if legendary's don't have it again but I think all exotic primarys should, makes them worth using in pve over you standard weapon.
-
I don't really miss them, but Zhalo being the only Y2 burn primary is a bit weird.
-
I miss it but I dont
-
4 RisposteI miss field scout when it was in its prime.

6 RisposteModificato da Swift: 7/8/2016 8:42:48 PMEvery day I miss the following: Burn Primaries Field scout that affected the magazine 150rd capacity machine guns 25rd capacity snipers Multiple heavy drops in crucible Heavy drops from killing people with heavy Combined Arms Almost all year 1 class items Rewarding nightfalls Rewarding raids Dinklebot - yes, I said Dinklebot Alas, I still have fun in this game solo and with my mates. We will always miss something, in and outside of video games.
-
Man I took the VoC for granted FOR SURE. That or Mida. That's all I used for 8 months
-
See we all want them back but in a way that all guns and exotics get elemental damage and it would be balanced if you open an engram and get a hawksaw that might have or not have elemental changes
-
I enjoyed it in the beginning but i actually think it's a better primary system as it is.
-
I do and don't. Yes they were good, but let's be real it's the only thing anyone would ever use.
-
I do. But at least I can use fatebringer this week
-

They had a decision to make. Remove burns from all legendary weapons, thereby artificially increasing the game's difficulty (or rather, time consumed to complete some things... which is sad since Destiny is already remarkably addictive). Or Add elemental burns to every primary (set for exotics, and randomly generated for legendaries), thereby increasing the interest in all weapons and (subjectively) making the game more fun. It would allow for perks to shine above all else and forced them to create new and interesting weapons. Either issue would have fixed the issue of diversity. We know which road Bungie took.
-
Me espicially when you'd go to the nightfall see the burns then get ur gun
-
I miss year one in general... perhaps to a degree it is a case of rose colored glasses... and I know a lot of things have been improved on...... but things just felt more fun back then.. you felt like a badass.. you looked good.. had good armor and amazing weapons.. things still had a degree of challenge to them but the rewards were worth it... I still enjoy destiny and don't plan on leaving anytime soon... but year one was certainly (or seemed so) a special time.

1 RispondiI thought that was just a rumor!
I'm only joking, I've been playing since day 1. I cry every time I think about it.
-
More options for elemental burns was the real answer. That is how you promote weapon diversity. Not taking them away.
-
I could care less to be honest. Game still plays fine.

I remember running a solar burn strike with my abyss defiant, not anymore
