Ever since DeeJ posted the weekly update saying they're taking events away from last gen, any time any of us last gen players says somethin about it, we get crap from these idiotic next gen players! HEY GUYS! GUESS WHAT?! SOME PEOPLE CAN'T AFFORD TO JUST GO BUY A BRAND SPANKIN NEW CONSOLE! SOME OF US CAN'T EVEN GET JOBS YET! I'm 15 and i can't get a job, so when these next gen brats come in and say get off your a** and get a job, it sets me off. PLEASE STOP WITH THIS CRAP! It's only been a fee hours and im already sick and tired of it.
(Anyone with me??)

Be willing to part. Turn in older games/consoles for in-store credit. Go mow some neighbors lawns. Ask parents to have you do extra chores for money. There are other options. There is always a way. Make it happen.
-
Hm. I got a "job" when I was 13 I mowed lawns. I made plenty of money. Enough to buy a new console.
-
I started working at 15.. also with a 10 year contract did you expect to be playing old gen for the next decade? They said this would happen eventually and sure enough it did they aren't all that expensive with trade ins and if you time the sales correctly (I'd imagine this holiday weekends sale is quite reasonable) at minimum wage it shouldn't take more than a month to have enough money. Grow up.

10 RisposteWait until Christmas.. Ask mum and dad.. Why do u have to have it strait away
-
Where do you live that you cant get a job at the age of 15? Plus you have to think of it from the current gen console players perspective, because last gen was putting limitations on what couldnt be put into the game, so in short its only right that they do it, even it it makes them seem like asshats.
-
It's been out for 3 years so it's current gen now. Last gen us the one that's been out for 10. Sometimes life sucks a little and it doesn't go your way. Do your best but this is how it's gonna be.
-
Then get over it and stop bitching. People wont come here to shoot you down. You are entitled to feel disappointment but don't assume anyone cares, if you use this forum alot then im sure you know that you need a thick skin when posting. Im sure there are ways you can make a bit of money weekly. Just save it all up. Basically instead of complaining, be proactive.

Isn't it surprising that games don't get made for older consoles? That's just baffling to me. With all this brand new and more powerful technology why would they make better games that surpass older consoles limits? I agree makes no sense.
-
Mow lawns?

Firstly, the PS4 has been out for many years, as has the XB1...! Even if you saved a few bucks here and there regularly, stopped waisting it on moronic games that at the time you probably never needed, you would have been able to have bought a NGConsole. Just saying.
-
You're in the minority, only around 10% of players are on old gen, the rest are on current gen. No one is forcing you to upgrade, just like no one forced me. I never remember people getting this pissy when Xbox jumped to the 360 and stopped making old gen games, and the same for PS2 to PS3. People just got on with it. Bungie have already explained that it is the limitations of your old gen machine which is why RoI is current gen. Also IB and ToO have always been geared towards top tier gear, which in RoI will change. Also not everyone plays IB or ToO so the % of old gen players in these activities is even less. From a business standpoint why would they support these activities which hardly anyone will be playing? So either stick with your old gen and see the library of new titles shrink more and more or just take steps and get a new one. You've had 2 years, there really is no excuse if you want to keep up.

1 RispondiWhen I was 15 and wanted something like a new console I found a few yards to cut the grass of(people pay good to young people trying to earn money) then sold my old system. Time to get to work.
-
I mean part of me feels bad about dropping old gen, but at the same time I didn't buy a ps4 for no reason

Modificato da SolarCerberuS: 7/3/2016 5:44:31 AMI gather by next gen you mean current gen, fact is gaming companies cannot support old gen consoles forever it holds gaming back destiny is now able to progress by dropping old gen yes it sucks but its the way it is. It has been deduced that only around %10 still use old consoles and understand they require different coding so as it was there was 4 different consoles to code for now there is only going to be 2 leaves more resources for more important things. By the way I was working part time at 13 yo and doing things around the house for my parents for pocket money, so find it hard to believe a 15 yo cannot work. Offer to do more housework for your parents for a few dollars per week not only will they appreciate the help you might even make them proud
-
But did you die?
-
I'm just pissed off that I can't play destiny on my Atari 2600. I mean come on i can't afford these fancy dancy consoles.
-
Modificato da BarnyTheBreather: 7/3/2016 5:22:22 AMAccually if anything you are the jerk trying to hold 90% of the player base back, because you have had almost 2 years to try and save up for a new console. Because if you are serious about this game you would have saved up knowing that last gen would get dropped eventually. But no you decided to wait thinking that developers would continue to support a 10 year console well tough luck
-
Guess what kid? Just because you can afford a current gen console didn't mean you have to throw a tantrum crying and comparing how it isn't fair. You want one? Find a way to earn it. Everyone else did. And you don't hear them crying?
-
I give you an Xbone.
-
But you can get a job at 15, can't you? I know I had a job at 15 and it wasn't that long ago (11 years). Even if you can't get a normal job mow lawns or something. The opportunities are there, you just need to take them.

Keep up with the times. ~TheGreatNike

I'm still pissed the game wasn't released on PS2

Shitpost
-
It is NOT next gen. It's been three years, it's current gen now.
-
That's fine , nobody is forcing you to upgrade. Just know what your limitations are now going to be because you can't upgrade.

7 RisposteWhen I was 15 I was working 4-6 days a week after school and some weekends. Made about $200-300 a week working in the back of a bakery. Mind you, this was 20 years ago. Stop being lazy and entitled. The real world will come knocking sooner than you think. You want something? Go out and earn it.
