The gunsmith isn't really a gunsmith
A gunsmith can Smith you a gun. That guy is just a gun dealer.
How about we get the option to give him glimmer or marks and he can duplicate a rifle along with the stats and give them back on arms day at 280 light?
I have a rifle that I'd like to have on each of my characters and I hate the tedium of passing it back and forth.

Scout rifle Step 2: bring a weapon of the make you want it to be. Ex. Omolon, Suros Step 3: bring the archetype you want it to be. Ex. Mida multi tool Step 4: bring weapons with the scopes you want . Step 5: bring weapons with the perks you want. You trade him weapons perk for perk, meaning this. You want rangefinder in slot 1? Bring a scout with rangefinder. You want high caliber rounds in the middle? Bring another with that, etc. You couldn't use exotic perks, so what makes it exotic? The fact you can choose everything you want on the gun and of course can name it. Also, you can only make one and if you got tired of it, you trade it back to him and start all over. You could allow perk tweaking too I guess. Select a perk you want to redo and trade another weapon you want the perk of. I like this idea, it's a decent grind, but I think it would be great if you could make your own custom weapon, name it and choose how it looks.

Reforging is probably fine now, since right now some players have really good roll while others don't, if everyone had good rolls how is it overpowered? A main reason why everyone was mad about thorn was because you have less then 1% chance to get the bounty so only a couple people had it

18 RisposteUsed to be able to reforge with the Gunsmith. Made him seem a little more like a REAL gunsmith. Can't reforge now because too many babies lost their shit about "God rolls." Morons.

8 RisposteThe gunsmith smiths no guns. The speaker says next to nothing. The post master is the master of no post- merely an agent of the lost and found. If it weren't for the shipwright wrighting up some ships when I bring her a blueprint, I would swear the lies were never-ending! Truly this is the greatest abomination!

5 RisposteIt would be nice if the gunsmith could make any year two uncommon or rare weapon into a legendary. It would cost glimmer (1500) legendary marks (15) Weapon parts (25)

If you give him enough glimmer he will take you behind his booth and give you a handy.

We need a better crafting system like in Skyrim so we can actually forge our own weaponry

6 RisposteThey just need to at least add reforging back into the game. I have no idea why they bothered to remove it in the first place... It was an awesome feature to have, it lessened some of the grind which was great, because grinding the same strike or something endlessly trying to get a specific weapon/roll takes far too long and is near impossible.

Bring back reforging of weapons. The gunsmith might as well be an arms dealer. He is not a gunsmith.

3 RisposteI think re - rolling weapon perks via the gunsmith should be re introduced, as guns such as the longbow or party crasher don't drop often at all, and to then get bad perks and have to grind and farm for another one which can take ages. It's a lot of work and quite frankly annoying and boring.

That would be fun... we'd all be designing the same things probably. While I would love to do that and get exactly what i want, that would go against the rest of the game design and the dependence on <some sort at least> RNG. Re-rolling is the beat option imho.... still random.

You would need some special cores, certain weapon parts and so on, to fabricate something unusual. Now that would be fun in the crucible! Imagine a fusion handcannon (with burst) or something even more exotic..😃👍maybe in Destiny 2 ?? We will not know untill its there.. It would maybe even rule out any cry nerfs, as people can construct their own weapon of mass destruction.

Be nice to be able to reforge our guns again, I'm sick of breaking down so many weapons because the rolls on them suck!!!

3 RisposteDestiny would improve drastically if weapons could be tuned to whatever perks a player wanted subject to some rule restrictions to make sure ridiculous combinations were excluded. Works by going to gunsmith handing in weapons to get parts then spend glimmer. You then get use of the bench assign the perks you want to a particular weapon. It would be even better if you purchase patterns and paint the gun as you would like it. Having the pattern a purchased item would not destroy the mechanics of use ie not just paying for performance. It would be interesting to see what perks the playing community gravitated to. Other games have this facility cannot see why it would break the Destiny game play mechanics

What would be a sweet deal Hand him 3 weapons.... (ANY three) and with some shards, glimmer and materials......... You get a combination roll And he builds a weapon with perks from all three (random) but maxed to the maximum perk tree amount of nodes on the trade in weapon.. Thnk.......A Thorn inspired Boolean scout with wolf pack rounds that give Devourer damage!

Duplicating a weapon a guardian currently has in their possession still let's RNG do it's job. You have already done the grind for that weapon with those perks.

He was whenever you could do exotic bounties. It would require you to take a frame or something to him to fix or build.

3 RisposteI've got a solution! The speaker fires the current gunsmith and hires Xür instead but makes him have every exotic in the game constantly for only 25 glimmer!

Yeah he is a gun-dealer...im fine if he can only change the choosable perks (where rifled barrel and smallbore are) since the other ones seem to not be changable since "icarus" isnt part or the gun or if he could change the scopes.

Or just use destiny item manager. It's a Google Chrome extention that's almost instant transfer between characters.
