Good for you, k/d doesn't matter, remember it's just a game, not your -blam!-ing life.
Edit Juan: Wow didn't this much attention, thanks guys. Also I know some people don't play all day to get good k/d. It's just a prank bro.
Edit 2: Some people don't seem to understand what I meant by this post, this was mostly to trigger those hardcore elitists who demand people to have 69.0 k/d when you do trials.
Yes OP is potato.
The title is satirical
Before I only cared about hear and loot but now all I care about is my KD. I was at .78 and I had about 1200 more deaths than kills but now I have a 1.01 KD after hours of sweaty matches with 100 more kills than deaths. Trying to get that 2.0 KD soon
-
1 RispondiI would have a 4+ KD if i cared. But no I only have a 1.6 or something round there and get talked down to from elitist who just to end up below me on the scoreboard during trials. kappa.

The only reason you're getting negative responses is because some people don't read the body of the post. GG m8.
OP is potato
My KD is at .9 and at this poit It just doesn't change
-
K/D is great with Ketchup/Catsup and sometimes Vienna Sausages.

1 RispondiBut destiny is my life so...

1 RispondiI couldn't agree more! Some of the most fun I've had was when I was doing the sword challenge in Crucible. I might have only went 4-20 for the match, but those 4 kills with a freaking hilt were soooooo satisfying! When we are bored I'll grab a few buds and head to classic rumble so we can kill each other with weapons we never use- like NLB, Universal Remote, fusion rifles, or stupid shit like green vanguard weapons, etc... K/D be damned!!!
-
28 RisposteAhh that feeling when you have a positive kd and a masters degree
-
The other person can't get a kill unless you get a death, so 1.0 is the dividing line. Any team where the entire team has a k/d above 1.01 at the end of a kill-only match wins; the other team will be 0.99. Since ToS was designed to be for the best of the best as stated by Bungie, you should consider yourself lucky if someone lets you on a team and your k/d is below 1.0.
-
If I decide to use the LFG for trials, I'm looking for someone with like a 1.2-1.3 K/d minimum. Sorry, but if I'm playing wit randoms I don't want to carry you. Have no problem carrying friends with sub 1.0 k/ds but when it comes to randoms I have no patience unless I'm in the mood for a carry and playing with one of my good peoples.
-
1 RispondiIf your K/D is below 1...you're having a good time, since SBMM won't fuck you and your game up.
-
What if your K/D is shit because when you get put on teams of 'slayers' in Control who treat the flags like they're plague, you say 'Screw it, I'm using a Rare Hand Cannon and Gjallarhorn'? I can eat some souls when I actually try, but about 1/3 of my games are people just dicking about.. and I dislike Clash; the all-kills gametype encourages snipers to hide in the back in packs and that's just boring whichever side of it you're on to me. I'd say that matters quite a bit, just.. not in the same way most people see K/D as mattering.
-
Agreed.
-
6 RisposteThanks I agree last I checked I have a k/d of like .95 but I don't care I play the game to have fun
-
K/d Doesn't matter really. But if you're talking about something like "oh if you have a good k/d then you're good", well that depends. If you get 3 kills and 1 death in a whole 10 min match, you're not really doing anything except not letting the other team kill you(basically hiding/running away). But if you get something like 20 kills and 7 deaths, then you're definetley having a big impact.
-
2 RisposteAmen xD. Nobody ever understands this is a GAME.

Modificato da THEMOSTVICIOUS87: 5/24/2016 1:39:36 PMI agree 100% :-P

Another satire post that has nothing to do with satire. There is a difference in satire and sarcasm. When Destiny becomes competitive, I might actually care about my k/d. Nah, I won't. My PvE k/d is higher than a lot of peoples'. Yet, that doesn't even matter.
-
2 RisposteWhy did you choose the #satire tag? You are only kidding about what you said? K/D does actually matter to you? You do know what satire means right?
-
9 RisposteSo my .38 kd is good
-
To a point, your own KD can be affected by other players who don't play as team members especially in objective type game modes like control. You can tell when you get to the end of a match the people who are only concerned with their KD because they have many kills but 0 captures. Usually end up losing those games as well. What this means though is the other players in the team who play the objective suffer because you become a sitting duck waiting longer on capture points (even though there's nothing stopping you from abandoning the zone). The objective of clash is pure kills so obviously KD does matter, but in the end I don't let it bother me, though it would be nice to be over 1, haha. That's life, take the good and the bad. The bad just makes the good better, lol.
-
20 RisposteOK so you added satire but the whole "kd doesn't matter" is actually ignorantly inaccurate(I'm sure that's a thing) Here's why: Control and Clash These game modes are based on the one with the most points wins, kills means points. How can you win if everyone has negative kd. In Control the more zones you have means the more points per kill, so if a guardian has 20 kills but has died 23 times he has in fact given the enemy team more points. So in short kd does matter........but only for a few game modes. Anyone who still thinks it don't matter shouldn't really be play Control or Clash, you ain't helping to win. Class dismissed :)
-
If your KD is below a 1, you may be a year one player :)
