The marines and officer follow, the giving directions towards the tram. While it wouldn't work without the main power, they could follow the tracks to the control room.

*the team follows, their weapons ready and their sensors scanning for nearby enemies. One of the troopers looks around "I don't like this. It seems odd they didn't put other defenses in case the main power failed."-Trooper 1 "They probably did, so stay alert and be ready to split up if need be."-Saber

"The main defense is the three hundred or so marines that usually hold these stations. Turrets are secondary, usually just by time before the jarheads arrive." The officer spoke, and there was an orrah from the marines.

*as three of the troopers follow the Bastion at Saber's command, she motions for the others to follow her to the command center, weapons ready

As they enter the control room the turrets defending it activated. The fire pinned down the marines, keeping them from returning fire.

She then takes cover and looks over to Mandela "That's one down. Only a few more to go."-Saber *the two troopers and Saber fire from their cover, taking random turns firing to confuse the turrets

Mandela stands and sprays a turret with his SMG, destroying it. He then ducks back into cover as another turret peppers the cover he's behind. Another marine fires a few bursts from his battle rifle at another causing it to stop firing.

Once the threat was neutralized, they scan the area and Saber orders the two troopers to take defensive positions at the door. They do so, and Saber motions for Mandela to follow her to the controls "Put in the codes and let's get out of here before the enemy knows what hit them and send troops to take this place."-Saber

Mandela sprinted to the console and began to input the codes. The marines surrounded him and formed a circle facing out.

*as the other troopers and the Bastion forces circle around the room, Saber looks over to Mandela "So, can you disable the station or not?"-Saber

"Yes, just give me a moment." He was typing away on the screen, fingers flying as he input the codes to shut down the main gun. That's when the platform's A.I. Appeared next to the screen on the holo projector. The a.i. Was dressed as a Greek hoplite and was sitting down in the fetal position, it looked as if he was in the onset stages of rampancy. "It came. I told it to leave and it came. It made me listen, made me do it..."

"What the hell?"-Saber *he turns from Mandela to the AI "And who might you be?"-Saber

"Alexander! What happened here?" Mandela turned to the A.I. Who was unresponsive.

Mandela finished punching in the code an. Everyone relaxed. "He wasn't rampant when they put him incharge of the station less than a year ago. This is recent." He turned to the A.I. "I don't know what we can get out of him but you seem to have questions that he can potentially answer."

The comms crackle, the other two stations are also deactivated but report similar discoveries, crew of the station dead, internal defenses hostile, and a less than helpful A.I. In the stages of rampancy.

"Copy that. You guys continue to try and get information out of them. I'll work on this one."-Saber "Will do."-Quickblast(over comm) "It may take a while, but I am patient."-Icier(over comm) *she looks back to the AI "What was their truth?"-Saber

"Wrong." The A.I. Rocked back and forth staring into the distance. Mandela shook his head. "Like I said, I doubt there's much he can actually tell us."

Mandela took the A.I. Chip from the console and put it in his pocket. "Then we need to get back to the Charleston, our troops will need orbital support."

"Affirmative. I'll get the forces out."-Saber *she walks out of the room and motions for the troops to follow her. They make their way back to the transport
