For those who aren't aware, there was a huge leak in the Call of Duty scene today.
"Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare"
Now, it's no secret that cod has been struggling to make a decent game since Black Ops 1. Numbers don't lie, and damn have they gone down as far as launch sales go.
People on the forums like to say "leave the past in the past", but let me kick you a scenario.
Let's say there was an additional leak about a remastered Call of Duty 4 being included with every Infinite Warfare Purchase. Everyone that's played call of duty for years will have no trouble denying call of duty 4 is a masterpiece in gaming, and set the standard for fps games we play today.
Let's say that when both of leaks came out, only one game actually began trending on Twitter. you guessed it,
COD4
Many cod fans have seriously been wondering what's taken these numbskulls so long to figure out what we want, and it seems they're finally delivering, and would you look at that, cods popularity spiked on Twitter today because of one game. the nostalgic cod4, not just because of nostalgia, but because it's clearly superior to the shit stain cods we've been getting for 4+ years. why leave the past in the past, when the past is superior and highly demanded? I don't want to leave cod4 in the past, now that I know it's coming back I crave some cod4 game play.
now I move to my point. it doesn't take a rocket scientist to notice how surperior the original raids are to kings fall, and even if you think Crota is subpar or short, you can't deny the loot isn't way better.
now a kinderguardian or taken tot might say,
"the loot is op, wah wah wah kings fall saved destiny from its op weapons"
isn't the point of end game loot actually feeling endgame when you acquire these items? kings fall weapons suck dong. you should feel powerful and a little op after completing the games FINAL ACTIVITIES. that's the whole goddamn point.
so why leave the past in the past, when the past is clearly better? destiny will spike in numbers man, we just want OUR game back, all year one weapons.
and get rid of these nerfs on ice breaker, black hammer, and gjally for christs sake. the "op" you idiots speak of is half the fun. bungie tried to focus too much on balance in the taken King, and while I agree a little balance is good, it can be game breaking. not a single person on this game gives two shits about any of the endgame loot or playing kings fall. because it isn't FUN. do you want more balance, or to actually have fun playing again? lmao
stop leaving the superior gameplay locked away at year one levels and the gear nerfed to shit, and still locked away?!
Bungie
Guardians want year one. Please deliver.
oh yeah get rid of the oryx music at the title screen PLSSSSS

I just want silver for completing y1 raids
-
2 Rispostein PvE, you're supposed to feel OP to the enemies, because then it's a ton of fun. balance in PvP is good, but not at the cost of amazing power in PvE
-
2 RisposteDude, I want a reaon to go back to old raids, like year 1 items turned year 2. It'd be fantastic.
-
1 RispondiI'm just going to leave this here. https://youtu.be/V9YoJjdEBv8
-
3 RisposteFor people who complain that doing the old Raids wouldn't make sense as for as the story go.....didn't we already kill the Archon Priest? Bungie brought that strike up to Y2 so why not raids?
-
I love VOG and Crota's End. But I love King's fall as well. I would really like for all 3 raids to be viable. I still play the 2 older ones just for fun and nostalgia every now and then. Loved how you had to get No Time To Explain. That being said, I do not want primaries with burns. In year 1, you were an idiot if you used red death or bad juju or any other gun that didn't have a burn in PVE. It made so many guns worthless. I like how it's done now much more. Use your special and heavy for shielded enemies. That's my only concern about the old stuff. I still have all the VOG weapons in my vault as well as a Black Hammer. Don't want to go back to only having a choice of certain weapons.

COD 4 was THEE sweats game! I won so many tournaments on that game when I was like 14! Best game ever imo... It must make a return!
-
If call of duty 4 gets remastered I will poop my pants with excitement
-
VOG is fun and challenging, would love to see it make a comeback in some way shape or form. KF is fun and challenging as well, and Crota's End was by far the most fun and complex story mission to date. No reason they cannot co-exist and be relevent.
-
5 RisposteUm, I'm pretty sure black ops 2 made way more money than black ops 1.
-
I actually enjoy the Kings Fall raid, but I enjoyed the Vault of Glass much more.
-
Year one was far better in my opinion. People complain that something is broken or OP and should be fixed but they don't seem to understand that games are supposed to be fun. I'll tell you one thing and that is that being OP is fun as -blam!- lol
-
-
Kings Fall is challenging. Vault of Glass is challenging and fun as all hell. There's honestly not as much fun in year 2, mostly challenges. And a challenge is okay as long as there's at least a bit of fun involved. That's why I loved year 1 Destiny. It was fun and the guns were powerful instead of these literal nerf guns they're putting into the game. But I do think they've already realized that we want the old raids back and that they will give them to us eventually. The only question is: will they nerf the guns to the ground?
-
2 RisposteJust want to point this out, BO3 is awesome and a lot of fun.
-
Exactly the point ive been arguing. Why nerf fun? Elemental primaries, our year 1 weapons, even gjallarhorn and icebreaker. They argue that those guns were too "overpowered" yet they really werent. One person with a full clip of gjallarhorn cant solo a raid. Its not THAT powerful. And besides, why is it a bad thing if we feel powerful? Why make the players who have spent the time doing nightfalls and raids collecting all these weapons feel unappreciated and impotent? Look at the success of Borderlands. Yes, you can get a bunch of crazy powerful guns with insane abilities, WAAAAAAAY more over the top than Destiny. Does Gearbox go, "nah we should get rid of those weapons its too op" NOPE. They just make harder game modes and enemies more powerful. Problem solved. Why limit content and weapons Bungie? There's no solid reason. Why limit FUN?
-
tldr; We had "FUN" in Year 1 & OP Weapons & Supers were "Working as Designed" , Stop "Balancing" the game to death for PvP . . . Make it FUN AGAIN ! #RaidLivesMatter
-
Love your argument. Too bad Bungie isn't listening.
-
oh yeah get rid of the oryx music at the title screen PLSSSSS
That I can get behind.
-
Completely agree. I won't even keep any gear from KF. All infusion fuel. The old raid gear was way better
-
You mean since mw2? Bo1 was when cod started to go downhill
-
Move on dude, it's embarrassing.

7 RisposteYe you all want VoG and Crota upgraded because the mechanics were so good. How come every lfg team I ran them with ignored all the mechanics and just cheesed everything then? I remember all the fails on Confluxes because it was a part you couldn't 100% cheese. Even then everyone hid like a little bitch when legions came up, even at level 34. As soon as confluxes ended everyone suicided so they could sit up top with Icebreakers, so much fun right there. Then have one guy jump down for the relic and shoot the templar from up top. Then failure continued again because everyone just had to go invisible at gorgons even after telling them the sound of invis alerted them for the others or because jumping from one rock to another was really hard. Then the usual 10 minute break while I waited for everyone to clear the easiest jumping puzzle there is. Then came hoping at least one other person knew how to use the relic for Gatekeepers which usually wasn't the case so I had to go in the portals alone and pray those 5 people outside could actually hold 1 Praetorian away from the plate, spoiler alert, they couldn't. Then praying again I'd get teleported and if not wipe at Atheon because 3 people who didn't know how to relic got teleported over and over. Or when I did get teleported get killed by a supplicant as soon as I exit the portal because doing 1 millimeter of extra damage to Atheon was the smart move in stead of shooting the jihad harpies killing your teammates. VoG was an awesome raid with great mechanics. Nobody then gave a -blam!- about that though and just cheesed it to get that Fatebringer and Gjallarhorn as quickly as possible. I'm starting to get the feeling you people want VoG back because you then can get carried through raids again in stead of having to do something like in Kings Fall. I can't be arsed covering Crota, I'll just say there were enough cheeses in there to solo it in under 10 minutes.
-
8 RisposteGood lord Bungie cannot win with you guys. you got half the fanbase saying 'Give us recycled old content Bungie! VOG, Crota, that stuff we mostly hated when it first came out? We want it all back! Screw new stuff, I want Fatebringer!' Then the other half is like 'Screw the recycled old content Bungie, stop being lazy trying to resell us old content! Give us brand spanking new stuff we can complain about on the forums but still play! You owe us new content Bungie, we want more than 2000 hours of content!!' Its sad really. Also, I cant even believe you said COD set the standard for FPS. If anything, it set the standard for recycling content, reselling it for $60, and profiting, every dang year. You know, things bungie gets hate for doing?
-
If I'm being honest seeing now that elitism will never disappear I do want these guns back
-
this model is not sustainable, and anyone who wants everything from the past to come back is probably being very shortsighted. lets be honest, most players will like having their vog weapons back for a short while, but won't want to just play vog for the next 8 years
