More Matchmaking Server Improvements Inbound
Just like [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/201044222?page=0&sort=0&showBanned=0&path=1]last week[/url], we will be making some improvements to our Matchmaking servers. We plan on rolling these changes out one playlist at a time following the schedule posted below. This is laying the groundwork to enable our team to more easily tune settings in the future, but [b]no Matchmaking settings are being altered today[/b]. You may experience some longer Matchmaking times as we make the switch, but this should be a relatively short period. We will be monitoring your feedback closely. Stay tuned for updates.

SBMM is terrible. Let's be real. It doesn't work right. Your experiment has failed. Connection based match making!! It's not that hard!

Matchmaking is so shit if you are above average right now. I have a 2.5 kd so In IB it would take 3-4 minutes to find a game and then it wouldn't even fill the lobby and launch it with 4v4. So dumb. Even in the daily playlist it will take 3-5 minutes to fill a lobby when I'm searching and it will be sweaty and laggy every game with no one below a 1.5 kd basically . You think this is fun? Its not. I don't mind the trials matchmaking vs other teams on streaks or sbmm in iron banner. but keep it outof the normal playlists ffs, it sucks the enjoyment out of normal crucible when every game feels liek a sweaty. I'm not a competitive player, I never played sweats for a reason, it's not enjoyable.

Do something about people who quit matches regularly. This is ridiculous with SBMM. It happens all of the time now. Almost every match I have someone leave from my team or the other team. It's ruining my gaming experience. You could also make custom playlists so I don't have to play with quitting asses.

I prefer SBMM. There can be a few games with bad laggers but that's prefrable to being steam rollered by players way out of my skill range. I also don't want to be flattening other teams. That gets boring fast. I'm happy with 50% win/loss tbh. The vast majority of my IB games were close. Within 1000 points. A lot even came down to the final kill. If you really want improved connections the best way would be to ask for region controlled servers. Sure it's annoying when some guy doesn't take damage or is teleporting but I can live with it.

I'm not saying people should get fired, but if I screwed over my company's followers like that, I'd be canned in an instant. [b]IRON BANNER WAS NOT FUN AT ALL[/b] Once I hit rank 5, I was done. Between the lag and competetion this was the [b]WORST[/b] gaming experience I have had. Nobody wants this 2 year old game to be intensly competitive, the current fanbase are sick of the Hive and crucible... 1 more 'fix' like this from Bungie and they've lost me entirely, won't even be back for Destiny 2.

SBMM is wack and needs to go. It shouldn't be rocket science for the Bungie devs to see how this has ruined the PvP experience in this game. But then again, they have lost touch with the playerbase so this illogical decision-making is no surprise at all.

The lag switchers should end up matched against each other due to their inflated skill levels (or matched against sweaties that might stand a chance against them) That being said, the SBMM obviously isn't working in the slightest when players who have never been flawless and have ELO's around 1000 and TRU SKILL around the 15-20 marks get matched against 50's with ELOs 1500-2200. Would be great if there was some kind of explanation as to how the matchups are ACTUALLY chosen

Instead of saying you're monitoring our feedback, show it. I'm tired of trying to level my character in a lobby full of tryhards all because you guys think it's a good idea to have Skill Based Match Making (SBMM)
