I love anime but the hate comes from the fans rather than the shows themselves. A lot of fandoms go to extremes and give it a bad name. Meanwhile the show or shows themselves are pretty good. Its the minority of fans ruining it for the majority. Then there are the people who hate it simply because its popular to. Its similar to Marvel and DC and old comic book nerds. When i was a kid you never projected that you liked comics or superheroes because so many would hate and harass you for it. Yet now those same people who would go out of their way to hate someone get hard over every marvel movie release and start bandwagoning. Why? Its only because its on the big screen and enough people like it so they can't lose that ability to "fit in". So they become bandwagoning hypocrites. I predict the same thing will happen to anime as it grows in popularity. It just needs a hollywood production and all the venomous hateful people will jump on the bandwagon like they did for superheroes.

I dont hate most anime, but some of the fans give anime a bad name, what with overpraising the "gunk" so to speak, and not calling certain ones on the crap they pull. (SAO's unnecessary -blam!- scenes and villains beyond the first guy come to mind) These people are the same idiots who praise the katana as the best thing ever solely because its Japanese.

I think people just think of the shitty(imo) animes that consist of schoolgirls with eyes half the size of their face or all the cheesy romance ones that are really immature looking. People forget there's stuff like berserk or cowboy bebop

I think it's ok, but the fan base is a bit cringy.

I find the animation often lazy. They decide to vomit color in our faces or take shortcuts rather than work really hard (which is why I like Avatar The Last Airbender so much. Every second of it looks slaved over.)

They are all pretty much the same shitty fan service shows that only nerds like.

A lot of it centers around the one outcast socially awkward teen who is shy around the opposite gender, but always gets out of their league love interests, and the protagonist tends to have stupid bullshit Earth changing powers. It gets old fast.

Because they think of that more than reality. They start to run with their arms behind there back, they start bringing it in to real world stuff, they usually shoot up schools. Lots of the people that watch them are weeabos

It's not the anime. It's not even most people who watch it. It's the fanboys who can't distinguish the difference between it and the real world that are the concern.

It's cheesy AF and the stories suck in 75% of cases.

Part 2: https://youtu.be/xPf7JR-wgt8 As for me, Anime will generally require me to watch at least 12 episodes to see if it's something I would like to watch, and sadly I don't have the time to waste on a show only to find out that I don't like it. Also, if the Anime isn't dubbed, there's a good chance I won't bother with it and just read the Mangas instead (But that's another story).

The only anime I watch is hentai.
