I know this may get people angry, but it needs to be said. Hunters have a throwing knife, warlocks have a sniper range melee and titans have their shìtty t-rex arms. Something needs to change. I think titans should have a little more of something something besides a range buff to their melee.
Not trying to start an argument.

*Edit* Good lord! How do people not understand that shoulder charge is not our default melee perk? It's an ability! Here's an example of what is a melee perk: storm fist. See? It's not that hard.
*Edit* the sniper range melee was an exaggeration to those that didn't know.

Your shoulder charge is what you have to use in place of regular melee, since your regular melee is ass.

Hunter does but you gotta be precise. Lemme just run in a -blam!-ing circle to get to running speed and one hit ko anything in my way

I agree nerf shoulder charge to not be ohk and also make it have a shitty hit detection like my hunters.

But two of our classes instant recharge that melee. Nothing like punching twenty thrall to ash!

Uhh storm fist does like 168 base damage. Also shoulder charge is a OHK, plus peregrine greaves make it even more awesome. Titans are great.

A charged melee will take out any guardian that is at 150 and below unless they are in their super. Sunbreaker even has a nice burn in their melee. There are issues like hit detection and what have you but titans, as a whole, are the most balanced right now.

Well, Defenders do get a recharging Overshield after a Melee kill, and hitting someone doesn't take away a Melee charge, so...

Striker melee does ~160 damage. Sunbreaker melee does a good amount of DoT. Defender melee gives you a bulky over shield on kill. You're speaking out of your ass.

Force Barrier is invaluable for the over shield, Storm Fist is pretty good for dps, and the Solar melee adds DoT to the target. Hunters can go invisible w/either Blink Strike (requires a perk to do so) or vanish with smoke bomb (also requires a perk) and the throwing knife has decent DoT, but it is hard to aim and doesn't ohk much except Dregs, Thrall, Acolytes, and maybe Vandals. Warlocks have insane range, Scorch gives overshield, arc melee does hella damage, and void also gives health (again requires certain perks, but that's standard.) I would say, all in all, each class has nice abilities tied into their melee charge. The melees are apparently intended to help you out in a jam, not serve as a high dps function. I think understanding this fact gives clarity to the intended balance between the classes. Titan melee isn't any [u]worse[/u] or [u]better[/u] than either or the other two classes. Now, if you were complaining about melee hit detection (particularly BladeDancer) then maybe we could talk. -
7 RisposteTitans melee damage melee is huge on striker and sub breakers. Hit them once and punch, dead. There animation allows quicker melee then a hunters knife. And its distance is decent enough now that as long your not boxing a warlock with a shotty its not to bad

Shoulder charge is the range melee option. And every charged melee attack of a titan is strong and has a bonus. Because of that, nothing has to change. The range used to be alot smaller in year 1 but was buffed.

am i the only titan who doesnt use shoulder charge? like, ever. i see what you mean and i dont care too much. reason being is i use my melee when its charged up which 9 out of 10 times gets me the kill. soooo no complaints from this titan....for now.

The thing with Titans is that they have a short melee yes but they have a bigger damage. It's like a shotgun huge damage output but short range

Just like throwing knives aren't melees. But really my hunters melee hits only 60% of the time the other 40% hits but doesn't register.
