The limit to how many sterling treasures you can earn in a week is stupid, especially since they are linked to your account and not your characters. This means you can only earn 3 total, even if you have 3 different characters.
They only did this to boost sales for silver and that is just sad. Extremely sad.
-
It's a free gift, and has no bearing on the game what-so-ever. Cheer up buttercup. You're like baby Jesus every week.
-
i find sterling boxes stupid anyway :) i wouldnt mind if get none of them lol
-
Just add it as a very rare extra drop from Nightfalls, Trails, Iron Banner, and Hard Mode Raid.
-
I bought two sterling treasures from the leftover silver I had after buying hotline bling
-
Welcome to year two....lol. Everything in year two has been to boost silver sales, I'm just going for faction gear for the most part anyways, though it figures I can't get the one drop I actually want out of the packages...
-
I don't think boosting sales is sad. I think it's smart business. But yeah you should be able to get 9 total sterling treasures for all three characters.
-
1 RispondiThe more people buy the better the next dlc will be.....
I don't even believe that
-
5 RisposteThere isn't a limit, you can buy as many as you like.
-
Seems to me you only need one box ever cos they all have the same shit anyway
-
If I could buy exactly the piece of gear or item I wanted, I'd consider it. I don't think I'd do it, but I'd think about it a lot. I still have my initial gift of 400 silver still though.
-
Treasure Boxes are Drug Samples. Enough to get you hooked so you'll want to buy more. Its that simple.

Modificato da NYDIBS: 4/22/2016 5:47:51 PMyes, this whole update was about 1 thing and 1 thing only - eververse Bungie dont give a -blam!- about the players What is sad is they could have just sold the update for $10 and nobody would complain. But I refuse to buy silver and support these stupid microtransactions
-
I got so damn lucky for the first week and got one on each character... Sadly this week it's only one per account at the postmaster
-
Wow reported for speaking an opinion that nobody likes yeah bungie go -blam!- yourselves
-
Sign to take away this guy's 3 free sterling treasures per week.
-
It's business dude, this game isn't here as a source of free entertainment. I get your point but I don't see why the -blam!- people like you can't understand this.
-
Modificato da Creed422: 4/21/2016 1:51:29 AMIt is.. I think you should at least get 5 per week/per character because of the high chances of duplicates. I you get new gear great, if not, you have some chroma to work the gear you do have. I dropped a 20 spot on some boxes when the update hit. Figured with 3 chracters, gonna need all I can get. Got 3 helmets 3 chests. Not to mention gear for alts... which I do have. Working on my Titan first, then Warlock. Only need desolate legs and mark now. Now considering I dropped what could be considered enough for half of a expansion price, I do believe the boxes could have costs less or have double the gear. This is why I wont spend more, which I have considered several times...
-
3 RisposteI got 5 this week. 1. Hunter postmaster 2. PoE level 41 3. Weekly Crucible 4. Warlock postmaster 5. Titan postmaster
-
1 RispondiYou can't appreciate the business aspect of it? I thought it was genius. Especially when my first sterling box was a chest piece for a Warlock that I don't have. It made me seriously consider throwing money at them to gratify the blunder.
-
Its like this, so if you want more (and you will) you will be tempted to buy them. Perfect strategy Bungie is using for that microtransaction.
-
1 Rispondiyup, trying to make money, and sadly, they are. People are paying money for a shader, and cosmetic gear. I still got 300 silver left for the pack I bought at FoL. Never again. Emotes I can get behind, but this sterling treasure nonsense, na. I'm getting 3 a week and focusing on 1 character at a time. Its week 2 and I am waiting on Spektar arms for my Titan. If you keep playing you will get it all without buying any silver at all. Don't support it, vote with your cash and say no
-
1 RispondiWait, you're complaining about them giving you 3 of something for free per week that they otherwise charge for? Come on man...
-
This was intended so you can by more of them
-
Modificato da Gus: 4/20/2016 2:38:05 PMI personally don't even sweat the gear in those treasures. Only keep pieces if they have the stat rolls I want and vault em. Wait about 6 months and all the pre-April update infusable gear will be the "rare" stuff, while everyone is running around in their Chroma or Taken gear. Already had a lot of pieces prior with stat rolls that I wanted. So why bother collecting the new stuff? Well, to each their own as long as fun is being had.
-
It is what it is. The only complaint I have is that I have opened about 20 boxes and haven't received a full set of desolate gear. The sterling boxes should all have a high chance of containing items not already in my inventory. No I don't have an issue buying the sterling treasure, just with rng. Again bought items should have a high probability of dropping something new.
