A sincere thank you to Bungie.
Dear Bungie,
I just wanted to take a moment and say thank you for creating Destiny. Because today it has been my escape from a great pain I have suffered. Today I lost my mom. She had been fighting a very hard and long fight with many health issues she had been dealing with over the past few years, and today she finally gave up the fight. After saying good bye and spending time with my family, playing Destiny has helped me escape for a while. Pummeling the forces of darkness with my titans fist has been extremely satisfying and relaxing for me in this painful time. So once again, thank you for creating this world that I can escape to for a while and play with my friends. Please keep up the good work, and keep feeding me more fodder for my fists.

In Ireland, We had an Easter parade to celebrate a war we had 100 years ago. After it was done me and my family were supposed to go to my grandparents for dinner. When we arrived at their house all my reletives were there but they were not in the sitting room, they were in my Grandfathers bedroom. We went up to find all of them in tears and my Grandfather to be pale as snow. I knew immediatly what happened to him. He died. R.I.P Grandad

My sincerest condolences & deepest sympathies for your loss, fellow Guardian. I'm glad to hear Destiny is providing a much needed distraction at this difficult time but I would recommend that you don't let it distract you too much from your family & friends. At a time like this there will be those who need your support & others who will be only too happy to offer you any support you may need. I lost my father to cancer just over a decade ago, he passed less than two weeks after he was diagnosed & thanks to a brain tumour in or near his speech centre he was unintelligible for the entire two weeks. We all deal with loss in our own way just remember you're not the only one grieving & you're not alone. *hugs*

Condolences sir. Went thru the same situation last year myself. I agree playing destiny or any other game does help during tough times like this. Stay strong and positive
