"Year One" players who reset characters to boost stats are.....
Real year ones don't reset characters and boost stats because you're afraid of what mlg wanna-be hipster kids might think of your f'n k/d.
Real year 1's don't give 2 apple farts about what gun and subclasses an unemployed begging streamer uses, because we learned (about 20 nerfs/buffs ago) to use whatever the hell our thumbs tell us feels right.
Real year 1 players wear the earlier days troubles AND our stats like an f'n badge of honor.
Don't f'n talk about the originals here, unless you are one.
If you're a year one player and you've reset for that reason, then youre not a scrub....
.... your a SCRATCH.
And yes , we can tell who you are.
Since we're on the subject (and I'm blinded by rage) what else defines REAL year 1rs?
Edit: Great responses people. I'm really digging the individual stories about your history with your characters.
To those who remember resetting for VOG and CE runs, I got no issue with that as it was a real struggle to reach that max.

I don't care about my k/d, nor do I "reset" stats. I just delete characters when I find them ugly or, in my Warlock's case, I just don't want to play with that class anymore.

Warlock has 1.5 kd, I could easily have resetted him, camped like a scrub with tlw and a sniper and had a 4.0+ kd but no, Me and my warlock have been thru too much together ;) Btw i only resetted my titan /hunter for the grimoire(exo, human, etc)

I still to this day haven't reset a character and I've played since the beta i started a warlock and around the end of the dark below i switched to hunter i haven't really played my titan that much

I deleted mine but it really wouldn't do shit to my mediocre kd anyway. I just like playing one character.

They've been increasing ever since starting, though. I remember deleting my warlock because I hated warlocks and making another Titan for whatever reason. I think it was because I used to raid a lot, and wanted my Titan to hit 30 first.

I reset my warlock and Titan because I hated the way they looked, I want to change how my hunter looks as well but too much time invested :(

Never liked deleting characters throughout any of my games. I didn't do it in WoW, won't do it in Destiny. I'll rock my stats, because I know I can get better.

I did two resets- and ironically one happened to be my best PvP stat guardian (Hunter). I started with 2 Titans and a Hunter. Decided to give a warlock a shot and deleted one of my Titans. I then reset my hunter when a bud got the game as I wanted to experience the story while being on par level wise with him.

True that, I destroyed players like giggle monstar, Jake, NDS Talon during the year one era when Xbox's player base was at its prime skill with Destiny. Even sweated with Gabriel and Poshy. I also did a lot of double carries for less skilled friends or clan members. But I always have MLG wannabes telling me my K/D is low. I just play solo a lot or with my clan that doesn't sweat like me. Anyways thanks for taking the time to read my brag and feel like a beast once again lol.
