Things people say about weed:
1. It's addictive! (So are cigarettes & alcohol.)
2. It impairs your judgment. (So does alcohol.)
3. It's bad for your health. (So are cigarettes, alcohol, and cheeseburgers.)
4. People can die from a drug overdose! (You can die from alcohol poisoning too but that's still legal.)
Give me one legitimate reason why weed should be outlawed. Just one.
Edit: 5. "It kills brain cells." (Not really.)
"Marijuana (Cannabis) – Another myth among anti-drug campaigns is that marijuana kills brain cells; this is not at all true. Smoking weed or cannabis will not cause neurons to die. Despite the fact that marijuana may impair the brain while the user is high, it doesn’t do any cellular damage or really harm the brain. Based on most literature, it is one of the safest illicit substances for your brain. Really the only major thing that heavy marijuana use can do is increase your risk for developing schizophrenia."

8 RisposteIf you're comparing it to negative side effects of things that are already legal, that doesn't justify anything. It just shows why it shouldnt be legalized.
-
4 RisposteCigarettes and alcohol should be rendered illegal just like weed. Overturning the prohibition was a mistake.
-
2 RisposteRead both of these if you honestly believe marijuana is the best thing ever. http://www.drugfreeworld.org/drugfacts/marijuana/short-and-long-term-effects.html http://www.lung.org/stop-smoking/smoking-facts/marijuana-and-lung-health.html?referrer=https://www.google.com/

Who's gonna support the cartels and gangs that kill each other and innocent people so they can have it shipped to you? What about there families!
-
So give me one good reason, why we need to be like them....
-
This made me want a cheeseburger I'm incapable of eating right now. So thanks for that. Bowie.

1 RispondiYou really shouldn't be breathing anything into your lungs except for air
-
It should be legal, end of discussion, case closed.
-
3 RisposteYou would have to smoke 5× your own body weight within an hour to overdose on weed. If you can find 700 pounds of weed please hook me up.
-
3 RisposteI have no problem with legalizing weed, but if it requires Bernie Sanders being President, I'd rather have it remain illegal.
-
It's legal where I live. #workingatadispensaryislife

No ponies, but please remove edit #5. Running, eating, smoking, and taking a shit all kill brain cells. They are replaced like any other cell in the body, albeit at a much slower pace. #badinfoispoison

you can -blam!-ing die from anything I mean seriously

4 RisposteYour entire argument is based off of a logical fallacy OP. Just because one thing that is allowed is worse for you, doesn't mean that something that's bad for you is magically okay. If anything, the logic you're using would be to ban alcohol because it is bad for you, not legalize even more unhealthy things. Also, alcohol can be used more in moderation. You don't have to completely impair yourself in order to enjoy it. The entire point of smoking weed is to get high and impair yourself. Alcohol would be just as controversial as weed if you got drunk every time you drank it.

1 RispondiModificato da Racebum: 3/20/2016 4:33:58 PMI don't smoke weed but I do live in Oregon and there has been no problem since it's been legalized. The one thing it has done is exceeded everyone's expectations in tax revenue for the state
-
1 RispondiYou are comparing it to horrible things like alcohol and smokes... And your right it is bad so why would you want another thing to cause all these problems?
-
2 RisposteYour comments don't make me want to legalise weed. It makes me want to make alcohol and cigarettes illegal.
-
Oh look, it's this again
-
I could care less it's illegal now and so be it
-
If weed was legalized, the government would put huge taxes on it, and companies would start GM farming the shit.
-
11 RisposteIt's unhealthy to you, and those around you.
-
2 RisposteYou want America to turn into Jamaica?

Studies have found caffein is more addictive that marijuana. 2. In small doses the cannabis effect actually increases brain function, as the cannabinoid receptors in your brain are responsible for such things. Beyond small doses, of course, your judgment does become impaired. 3. Inhaling anything into your lungs isn't really good for you, but it has been shown to be a good sleep aid for those suffering from insomnia. 4. Actually, you really can't die of an overdose. There has never been a recorded case of someone dying from a cannabis overdose. It is possible, but had never happened because you'd have to smoke so much. If anyone want's the links to back me up I can get them, but I'm on my phone right now so it would be a hassle.

How bout we try it, before we spew un-sourced shit. It does this, it does that. Oh yeah? show me, or show me the scientific data that has been provided, and reproduced in different labs with different scientists. You are all a bunch of -blam!-ing 12year olds who eat up the smoke blown up your ass by the government. Be a free thinker for once.

4 RisposteIve had personal experience with green and i don't see the issue. Sure you can get addicted but you can get addicted to things such as alchahol or gambling. I dont see the government banning those.
